Wow that was tight, wanted Thor to win but Z is still one of my favsHappy

Top 3 nothing between them, slightly differnt field or events and any of them would have won.

Congrats the mighty Z

I wonder what odds you would have got on that at a bookies!

Congrats to Z, what a f**king legend!

Well done to Terry too, still the main Brit man at WSM.

Im in utter shock that shaw finished third when hes in the shape of his life.

The only way the events could have been better for him was if there was max dead instead of squat.

Yes this surprised me too, bit disappointing really

I think in the wsm format he's just not quite as mobile/fast as thor, though he is stronger.

may be that this is something to do with the proximity of the arnold and wsm, maybe more prep time and shaw would have been a bit lighter?

That being said, Z winning the Arnold and WSM, that close together, with the ethos of the comps so far apart, is really rather special

I think your right mate, All the Arnold guys looked heavier than usual, except Thor.

Do we know if this is going to be the new standard time of year for wsm(cause obviously the Arnold ain't moving)?

If it is we may see guys specialising I suppose. I for one would love to see an Ed Hall exclusively concerned with being the best he can be at the Arnold.

Also I kind of hope it is the new time frame, the shorter season should help the longevity and health of the athletes imo

With Thor dicking around with acting (and the diet that comes with it) and other bits and bobs, it's bloody amazing how well he does. He's still young and will win it within the next couple years.

Terry's attitude each year is always so positive and it's amazing how he can continue to make finals and push people for those positions. World class.

Eddie has taken a very professional attitude to it and sorted his weaknesses out. Great showing for his first of many finals.

Loz making another finals, wow. Keep it up, in great shape with plenty more finals to come.

I guess. I'd like it to mean some more major comps than just looking forward to bsm, euros and wsm. I can't stand the Arnold's as a comp. I just think its so boring and think its unnecessarily unsafe and unhealthy

What I meant was - would it be better if it was decided on number of stones lifted (i.e. using heavier stones) rather than by fractions of seconds and almost everyone completing?

Tackyless would be better imo

Would be great to see Ed at the Arnold's next year!

Next ones worlds strongest team anyway at brittania stadium, gutted I can't go but will be one heck of an awesome comp!

In a vice documentary recently (Called "Nest of Giants") Thor confirmed there was a stipulation in his contract that he eat every two hours...

I have seen a video of z squatting and I have to be honest, its an absolute disgrace. I hope everyone else's squats were to the same s**te standards just so it was fair
