Lifted more serious weight this week than in the last year, pretty tired so just f**ked about

BTN Jerk
150kg for 1, nice and easy
160kg for fail, bottled it, probably got it high enough but I never ever attempted the catch

Power clean
122.5kg for 1, good, never split my legs massively
125kg for 3 fails, 2 I caught but fumbled, one I high pulled to my chin

I think the power cleans need lighter form work, even today I was doing something differently and better. The jerks need more work over 140, I think I have more than 160 in me, I am just not used to heavy weights

You need to do yoke

the most I remember you squaring recently is 180 so 160 on your back will feel a lot especially if you know you are going to try and throw it over your head

if you had a300 yoke on your back every week 160 would feel like nothing

You are dead right, 160 felt like a lot.

I just don't have the time for strongman training at the moment

However I squatted 170 for 5 this week and I intend to up that over coming weeks so that should help

Partial squats?

Or just don't let it bother you......But that's hard!

I'll just start doing it heavier

Squat

Despite loads of mobility work this weekend my hip felt like s**t. Faffed about for half an hour to try and get a squat to work, randomly tried a low bar medium narrow stance, felt quite nice

150kg for 9 or 10, meant to stop at 8

No hip pain, the bar rolled up my back a little on the last 2 reps but other than that some of the best feeling squats I've ever done

Bulgarian Split Squat with a trap bar
35kg for 5 each leg, by god I am unbelievably weak on one leg

Instant and severe glute cramp
mrstruan
haha split squats absolutely ruin me too man. they sometimes feel harder than my top sets on squats...

Bench
130kg for 10
150kg for 3

Liked that, will try to build to 12 and 5

Chins
10, 10

Curl and press
5reps on 10, 16, 20, 24

Nice and easy again
