I suspect he has gotten one. Its hard to think of an easier group to call.
Though with that absurd stone rule anyone could miss out.

Who would you say are the 2nd seed in group 2 and 3?

Group 4 = Licis seed 1 and Caron seed 2
Group 5 = Janashia seed 1 and Kieliszkowski seed 2

Group 1 = Thor seed 1 Loz Seed 2
Group 2 = Shaw seed 1
Group 3 = Z is seed 1...whether or not he deserves it

Then the rest are just shoved in if they suit deadlift or squat.

I make Loz seed 2 in group 1. Fully fit Loz is a nailed on finalist in pretty much any group.
Group 2 i dont see a second seed. But i dont see a ninth or tenth athlete that screams 'i should be seeded' so i can understand how this has happened. Its also not a big surprise to see Brian and Z get the 'easy' groups due to their reputations.

Looking at the groups. They are actually pretty good picks. Shaw definitely has an easy group for him. I think maybe Shiv should be swapped for someone in Shaw's.

Z whilst seeded 1st in his group does have some tough competitors with events that suit them.

I didn't realise Janashia finished so low last year in the final. Kind of thought he was 6th. I don't remember Loz being in the final either, I thought he was injured.

I might actually re-watch it.

Terry said on Instagram that it's one seed per group. The res were drawn randomly.

IMO the seeds should be picked as the top 5 returning from the previous year - Thor, Shaw, Licis, Caron and Killa. Instead Z seems to have been seeded over Caron.

Easy group? I think anyone from Z, hixxy or Bibby could win that group. I definitely wouldn't bet against hixxy if he's fully fit.
I also think he could make top 5 in final too judging from his display at Brits

Easy is in air quotes because its only easy since it doesn't have a 2nd clear finalist. It should be an easy win for Z.

if..IF Z came 2nd or 3rd...I couldn't foresee anyone out-stoning him to secure a place in the final.

Z's and Shaw's groups are the easiest to qualify from IMO. I think Z will win his group whilst i don't think he'd finish top 2 in groups 4 or 5.

I recon group 1 and 2 would also cause him pella. In fact, all groups except his.

As said before, the organisers want him to have a relatively easy chance of making the final. However, I really hope hes in great shape enough for top 5 and this apparent 'joker' card is not wasted on him...
