It's a moonface era now. Member 5901, 956 posts | To say Shaw is far from best is overstatement. He pulled 460 this year. Just the new generation are getting stronger and hes slowing down due to age and decent longevity in the sport. Brian Shaw is a warrior, he will finish top 2. | ||

Shaw is still at or close to his best. Just others are improving and the mix of events give Licis and Kieliszkowski a chance of beating him. Nobody ever talks about Shaw's longevity but he has appeared in the equal second most finals of all time. Nobody apart from Z has ever been able to be so good for so long. It's natural that he will be succeeded eventually. | ||

Felix is in the 10 athletes shown, whilst Licis isn’t. All others are as we knew. If Licis has fallen to an injury, looks like Felix is in. Unsure on why he was chosen ahead of others, but will wait and see. | ||
