Hi folk been on this site for a couple of years and finally decided to start a journal, have had two strongman comps this year 6th at the unit 20 fist timers and 3rd at scotlands u90. Been training strongman for about 6 months.
train 4 times a week
tues & thurs at unit 20
fri bodybuilding gym in stevenson (auchinharvie)
sun industial strength

my new training breakdown is

tuesday = back and bi's

thursday = overhead chest and tri's

friday = legs

sunday = events

Tuesday at the unit got there at 4 no one there lol then friday lee and the apprentice showed up then drew.

100 x 5
140 x 5
180 x 5

wide grip pull ups
bodyweight 5 x 8

log
50 5 x 5
70 x 3
90 x 1

bicep curls
15 x 10
20 x 10
20 x 10

first session back after scotlands

Thursday 1st july Training at the unit buzz and bernie there,

ifsa log = 5x5 60kg

bench press
10 x bar close grip
10 x 60kg close grip
5x5 100kg close grip

dumbell shoulder press
10 x 20kg
4 x 10 25kg

lying triceps extentions
5 x 10 15kg

superset side raises with front raises with bent over raises
3 x 10 7.5kg

went and watched uk scotland quailifler on saturday was a good day out and some serious weights getting shifted Happy

been doing preseason for my football team all week mate trying to get a bit of fitness back lol
will be there thursday what you doing???
i need to do log bench and deads minimum lol

You better be in goals! Running about is no good if you're planning to be a 120kg monster Happy

Log bench and deads on Thursday sounds good. Fronties to start with for me.

something odd is going on. You squat 10 reps at 140 but your 1RM is 150? Surely that must be an old pb? And you log bench 90 for 7 but fail 100. Anyway, nice journal, and well done at the scottish 90s. Any more comps coming up, Unit 20 Novice?

my max squat is 150 5x5 so 150 is my one rep max never went heavyer. used to train in the garage and my weights only went upto 150kilo lol
log bench was the first time doing it last night at the unit with brain don't no what the f**k is going on tbh Unhappy
