So, training going into the comp, 8 weeks out was going really well. PB squat 5x195 and PB deadlift 5x210kg.
Got hit hard with flu and training went to s**t. Wanted to open light on squat and see where I ended up, weight was heavy enough for the day, 217/220 may have been there on a total grind. Bench felt good, short pauses from the ref, got major back cramp on second lift but managed to loosen it off for 3rd. No excuse for missing it, felt strong enough for it. Deadlift felt ok, opener wasn't snappy enough but thought I had 235 in me. Got it for a grinder, would not have been able to pull a third.
