I've started too get a really horrible dull ache in both arms mainly when in bench pressing or doing over head press , I also got it the other day when I was squatting too, it's fine on pulling days though.

Both of my arms flare up and it's like I can't even lift anything , my grip weakens and I feel like I've got two dead arms , feels like a weird pain in my forearm , bicep and lower tricep , it's effecting my pressing when I go heavy , does anyone know what it could be or why it's happening ?

I haven't got time atm for a long reply but I'm guessing you squat low bar in which case this is quite common.

Infraspinatus is likely your problem. I use a lacrosse ball to release both infraspinatus and delt/longhead tie in areas everytime before I bench or squat and I'm now pain free every session.

I'll reply better when I can.

Thanks for the replys , I tend too do more of an only squat , the bars right on top of my traps when I squat , it's only started happening the last 3-4 weeks as I've been going heavier , when the pain kicks in it's unreal , it really flares up and my arms feel lifeless , I first thought it might be tondonitous but then I looked more into it and some get it from squatting apparently trapped nerves of something ?

Agree with the infraspinatus comment, but could also be the supraspinatus being a bit niggled and a nerve impingement...

Could maybe an impingement of your ulna nerve too which could give you numbness in your hands; that'd be more inline with a C5/C6 niggle, so a visit to an osteo would be in order, probably worth visiting a sports physio as well!

I've suffered and still suffer with all the above, its a sod at times and also means I don't back-squat heavy any more due to the issues I have with my C5/C6!
