wales Member 1058, 5361 posts SQ 220, BP 140, DL 294654.0 kgs @ 106kgs UnEq | When I lifted in the Severn valley first timers they ran britains strongest woman along side. I think they were lifting around 80kg axle, 140kg frame walk, and 160kg conans. Might be worth checking back to the comp' thread.

Member 1525, 95 posts | Post Edited: 12.12.2010 @ 20:55 PM by james_grahame I own/run this website/forum in Oz.this is the training log of one of the top Aussie strongwomen called Sue Metcalf. She just cameback from the US nationals (invited by Dione the US organiser). http://www.aussiestrength.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1... This shows her training weights...and towards the last few pages..a bit of a writup about the US nationals. To be honest her journal is packed with details. all the best James

I did this comp aswell and the weights are about right, the lass who won it was called gemma Taylor and she was amazing to watch lol, it's a great comp and if you keep a eye on here most weightlifting strongwomen comps will be posted up on here after new year, but at the mo it's a little quiet. Good loom to her she will enjoy it big time mat

pointing the way Member 1298, 631 posts SQ 110, BP 65, DL 130305.0 kgs @ 63kgs UnEq | Post Edited: 12.12.2010 @ 22:09 PM by Gubernatrix The weights vary from comp to comp. These were the weights from BSW this year (according to the thread): Frame walk 140kg Loading race weight ranging from 40kg-75kg Conans wheel weight unknown yet I will need to ask about. Axle round robin starting weight 40kg Walk of pain 60kg (milk churn carry). In terms of strength indicators, double bodyweight deadlift is a good place to start. Bodyweight bench press and ability to do a few deadhang pullups would be good too. Overhead strength is often a problem for women, esp if they haven't trained it much.
