Myself and Dan will be checking the proposed venue out tomorrow. It will be indoor with good spectator seating. As long as it is of a high standard and we can have the events we want, then we will happily run this Saturday 11th April.

An update for the lads for the northerns the venue has been picked which is an indoor venue similar to salt ayre, the date is 11th april and all events will go up with all information either this weekend or early next week.

Why not just let Marc cherry run every single 105 comp. he's got 75% of them already. Wales strongest man in Bristol?????? And mark clegg is right. A comp prestigious as esm should definately be a stand alone comp.

Northern Qualifier

Doors Open: 9am

Athlete Meeting:10am

First Event: 10:30am

Final Event: Who knows, but this will be ran promptly and at a good pace.

Spectator entry fee:

Adults: £3
Children: £1

Food and refreshments available throughout the contest.

Weigh-in available on Friday 10th between 2pm - 6pm. Please note this will be at Spartan Performance, Unit 1B Linden Park, Consett, Co Durham, DH8 6SZ.

Weigh-in available on Saturday 11th between 9am-10am ONLY. This will take place at the venue itself.

Events:

1) Log Lift: 115kg x maximum reps in 75 seconds. Floor to overhead each rep. Head to head.

2) Farmers Walk: 130kg each hand x 40m. Drop and turn at 20m. 60 secs. Head to Head.

3) Deadlift: 250kg x maximum reps in 75 seconds. Belt and straps allowed. No suits. No sumo. Head to head.

4) Tyre and Sandbag medley

5) Atlas Stones: 120kg-180kg
