My boys took a shine to young Tom and were jumping up and down fist pumping when he won... they also really loved Mikhail Shivlyakov for being such a great sport. It was pleasent because this was the first year in many that I waited until it was televised to get the results.

I highly recomend a de-humidifier.

I did look at this, but my entire upstairs is always very moist, so I would need one on the upstairs landing to be running overnight I guess?
In the morning the windows are covered in a great deal of moisture, which I assume is because they do the sweating on behalf of Prince Andrew.

yep. keep it running all day wont cost a lot and will be shocked at how full of water it s by the end of the day..
when you get a chance. look at airflow - you may need to punch a brick out and stick an airbrick in, thats what I would do and be careful that the moisture is not spreading to the loft and rotting your roof joists... it can get through spotlights if they are not sealed very well.
also, remember that moist air is harder to heat than dry air so opening windows for a bit, no matter how cold will save you money ...I know that sounds counter intuative but that is the case esspecially if you factor damage.

Use Walkers' unopened packets. They're essentially just pockets of sealed air, so should insulate it very nicely!

I think you are right...but I wonder if that would cost more than actual insulation?
