Hard for someone to stop doing something they love.
I imagine strength sports are similar to combat sports. You can still have it in training, but top competition is different.
I would like to see Z retire, but he maybe still enjoys it and finds it hard to stop.

As long as he accepts he’s no longer one of the favourites, I don’t see the problem. If he loves doing it still good for him. It’s like a premier league footballers making his way down the leagues in the twilight of his career.
Long live Big Z

It's hard to watch. Roy Jones has finally retired from boxing. It was difficult watching the last 14 or so years of the former Superman! Similar to the latter part of Tysons career.
Imagine Bolt qualifying for the Olympic final, to only come last? would be a sad show.

I agree with this. Maybe do masters comps and just have fun.
Does no harm to anyone and his legacy will always remain intact, regardless of what he does next.

Never been a great truck puller. It does look like he really f**ked up on loading.
If it was anyone else id suggest they'd eased off accepting they couldn't get on the podium. But licis is incapable of going anything but full speed.

He has a neck injury and struggled on the safe on the loading race

That’s the biggest lead I can remember in quite a few years going into stones. Well done to Thor. A very well deserved Worlds Strongest Man. Kielszkowski needs to sort that deadlift out
