They refuse it because of all the sensible reasons Willsan has posted. but i think most people will just take it really. its the whole protecting others peer group pressure just turns me off. just not buying into that. WILLSAN said: given that, my current state of fitness and my general philosophy of trying to avoid products of the pharmacological industry unless absolutely necessary I would pass.

And your fears are founded. Not because of social media and not because you are thick. The reason is we certainly do not know the long term effects of the drugs on offer. We wont know how it affects for example fertility, (its in the small print if anyone bothers to read that) and long term health..will people be dropping from strokes in 10 years linked to the jab? the truth is, no one knows because the data is not there yet. Having said that, if you are in the high risk group then have it... and i hope you get it soon, its a risk balance. Just dont call us healthy and younger people uninformed who refuse it. No one will pressure my family to have it and I wouldnt pressure anyone to refuse it. old age traveller Member 332, 7870 posts | Thank you all for your replies (apart from Sam who fell into the trap) I started the thread as it amuses me to be lumped in with the at risk category, I think overall compared to most over 50's I am in reasonable shape. In reality it is very easy for me, (whether to have the jab or not) I just have to ask the wife if I allowed it or not.

Maybe just a coincidence, but I declined it this year. I'll take a Covid shot when offered though. If enough conspiracy types refuse it, I should get mine reasonably soon.
