aims are to get a few more open contests under my belt and transition my bodyweight up towards a conditioned 130kg beast as I've still a got a long way to go till I fill my frame out with the right kind of weight.comp history -
Mo power local comp May2011 -1st place won two events placed 2nd on two, no pressing events: -pound to power comp went against bigger and smaller lads wasn't touted to come in top 3 beforehand which spurred me on even more.
Bolton novice comp July 2011-placed joint 4th/5 only 3 events and deadlift too light made mistakes on 2, can’t judge who's the best strongman on 3 events especially with epic bouncing allowed on car deadlift which I refused to do point-blank.
Cheshire novice comp 28th august at Cheshire farm open weight 2011- PLACED 8/19 cocked up on a few events and placed in top 3 on 2 events deadlift & carry max distance found some weaknesses to work on, some very big lads making good weights look light great experience., axle c&p/duckwalk tire drag farmers medley missing
uk strongman north novice 2012- 13th may 2012 placed 11th out of 16, took just over two weeks before comp-went into it having only been training for a clean and press comp the week after, hit some pb’s in log and deadlift and stones so come away better than before, did this comp during in a bulking phase after illness regained then added + 13kg bodyweight after losing 8kg in 2wk so cardio wasn't their at all after regaining some extra luggage
Crewe comp -15th July 2012 entered 24hrs before comp in the heavier weight class , placed 4th/6 , partial 300 deadlift pb 3rd place lol/fast truck pull/fast farmer+yoke medley-- overhead medley did poor on & loading +drag event took it steady as was goosed good bit of experience gained with previous poor events improved significantly, coming away with pb's again came to this with tons of power no fitness or technique on a couple things
only the strongest survive -2nd September 2012, 2nd out of 6 best showing , pressing let me down as im on a long term plan that won’t yield much short term success ,still preferring to put all my pressing energy into strict press and cgbp, double decker truck pull was snappy the second go fell and still won it, Conan wheel was too light for me did 6 & a bit revolutions but was out of gas winner went last and did a couple steps more, medley was 1sec behind a phenomenal medley winner, did 5 reps on a 135kg stone large diameter to 54" ,so happy to have built competition stamina at last placed 3rd on this even though only 2 opted to do stones and only got one or two reps ? dodgy scoring system at play strongman not crossfit.

planned to be consistent throughout, grip and fitness was a strength, with a bit more luck on 1 event especially would have been top 5 , plenty pb's training for it as well and plenty more their to hit, get access to comp weights was a big problem that meant only 2 sessions on a comp weight stone
Bolton strongest man-27th July 2013- 3rd place open class HIGHEST PLACED FROM BOLTON , 4 events dropped major points on 1st event press medley was well off form on overheads in the build up sandbag press was better than ever before, performed well in the other 3 events but wasn't 100% as a comp previous and current competitor pointed out to me after the 1st event, at 100% would have done a lot better, knee tendonitis and back issues cut short quite a few sessions
