i'll start

ken laine powerbuilding cycle

http://www.criticalbench.com/gaining-muscle-power.htm

i have used it with good results, i managed to double 5kg more than my previos 1rm after 9 weeks, going for the single tomorrow

Phil nosko who i train with when im home and off MT has used it for bench and deadlift, putting 7.5kg on his bench, and 20kg on his deadlift

That looks like a good routine, it's quite similar to Ed Coan's routine and one Rick has been doing recently (which Joe gave him) - a lot of good bench routines seem to start with high reps and then work right down - and usually have you benching more than once a week.

One routine I have used on bench in the past is The Russian Squat Routine, first time I got a 5kg PB and second time missed the peak but still made good progress. I think the power of this program is that the volume really sets you up well for the intensity stage and the frequency helps nail your form - it's probably better for beginners I think. Olly has used it in the past with success on bench and push press, Joni has got some good progress out of it on bench too (mainly on reps though I think?).

By the way, lets not turn this thread into a "should you have routines or do you believe in them" thread - just post any routines you think are good. If you think routines are pointless make another thread saying so Wink

Agreed Rob. Too many people take things off thread. I've started one up for you so NO ONE has any excuses.

Love you mate

Simply put mate I wouldn't. It would get really messy the last two weeks, if you got through the volume stage! I haven't heard of anyone using it for deadlift and if people use it for squats they usually change it to twice a week to spread it out more.

Whatever you use it with you really have to be conservative on the max you enter or you will just crash at intensity stage - people very rarely get through it without missing some reps somewhere.

cheers rob. I've just been reading through it and imagining doing some of those sessions for all three lifts! Like you said, looks like a crash someone along the line for sure.
