Well if you don't like it, it is time to fix it. You may have noticed that we are sort of qualified refs in the NW, and although our friends from the east have been very helpful, we cannot continue to rely on them without any chance of reciprocation. The exam does not take long. It would be necessary to get Jim Mutrie down from Scotland. It would cost £40 plus his petrol, cost to be shared by those taking the exam (It should not be much if there are a few of us). We could even see about having this paid by BWLA, so do not let it put you off if you are skint. Let me know if you are interested. You need to be a BWLA member for at least 2 years. - This could also look good on your CV.

We really struggle when there's a NW weightlifting competition on the same day (as there is on 9th December) and are relying on refs from other divisions to help us out. Oh, we are all sort of refs, I guess, but I think Jim meant SHORT of refs!
