heavy deads when grip starts to become an issue, otherwise they stay in my bag.

lot of guys in gym use themfor chins, pull downs rows etc but u normallyfind they cant perform the exercise properly n use way to heavy weights any way

powerlifters use a belt to bench too keep them tight.

i dont really use my straps but i do some times use them on chins as am s**t at them an they help me abit. Even though i got a fairly decent grip

Mainly to keep the shirt in place and stop it from moving. I tried benching with a belt, did feel a bit tighter but didn't really add anything,

IMO to start or keep fires going Grin Tongue

I'm not a user of straps TBH even though I have them in my training bag; the only really time I've used them was for trap bar deadlift holds and when I was working on my snatch routine (just to keep hold of the bar through the movement)

I know there's a time & a place for them but training without them until you REALLY need them is best IMO

Guys at the gym use them as you said above for all back and other exercises and then complain theyve got a s**tty grip Angry

I use them for max pulls or heavy sets on deadlift once my grip has given out.

I also use them for DB rows sometimes, as my grip is very poor and I find it fails before I get any decent work done.

If I had a great grip i wouold never use them. Basically only use them if your grip gives out before the rest of you.

I started using a belt on bench recently, as I liked having something to push against, and it certainly helped.

Chalk is an absolute must, especially if you have little girly sweaty hands (like me) for deads but chalk is used on farmers, log, all forms of pressing, squats, yoke.................

My opinion is nothing, but my best ever deadlift was only 190kg Unhappy My rack pulls have went up to the 200s but it's hardly the same as pulling it from the floor.

Max reps on deads in the ortmayer routine
Kroc rows for 20
Sometimes front squats

Chalk on nearly everything
