Could feel myself getting a bit ill, despite not feeling anything during being positive with the rona, but found an excuse. Went out for soup that sounds grim, tastes fking awesome.
Lamb's head, with brain and tongue, cooked for hours, tons of garlic, chilli, sides were olives with garlic, lemons, chillies, freshly made pita bread (I mean the woman there makes them fresh for each soup order); they get put on the table super hot.

Got a bag full of oranges and lemons from my friend's garden.

90 year old gran fired up the outdoor clay oven. Currently eating homemade bread, olives cured from my own tree, but had to pay for this halloumi. It tastes like crap and it's about treble the price it was last year Unhappy

Sounds very Indiana Jones.

Mrs Luki is cooking for Christmas and trying dishes out on me. We have a carp in the bath starving out the mud. I'm avoiding naming him so he can be Sunday dinner.

Perogi Ruski today.
Apparently putting soy sauce in polish dumplings is culturally offensive... schnitzel are just chicken nuggets for europeans.

I read "Carp in the bath" and was about to sceram "POLSKIIIII". In my haste, I pressed "reply" and then read. I actually have a Prince Polo XXL in my fridge. You probably won't know what it is, but ask her.

I'd rather a braised rabbit than a prince polo xxx. They are an out of balance KitKat. Not enough chocolate.

What else goes in your brazing mix? Apple vinegar, clove, cinnamon, bay, a granny Smith (or ketchup), English mustard, salt and pepper for me. Works with pork too.

Half the stuff you listed isn't available here. Regular (homemade, grape) vinegar, bay, salt, pepper, LOTS of onion. Not eaten granny smith apples for 5-6 years. Probably tomato paste (again, homemade) instead of ketchup.

Christmas Day - rib of beef, carved it into tomahawk steaks (bone-in ribeye) cooked medium on the bbq. COAL, other stuff doesn't count as bbq.

Boxing Day - my dad came home with a turkey crown. De-boned that, made a stuffing with bread, sage, onion, celery, garlic, mushrooms. Spread the stuffing over the butterflied turkey breast, rolled it up, put it in a dish along with carrots, celery, potatoes.

30th Dec - Stir-fry with boneless chicken thighs, mushrooms, mangetout, baby corn, leeks, onion, celery, carrots, and probably a ton of other stuff I found. Added some oyster sauce.

White kidney beans with onions and tomatoes plus curry powder, plus some leftover beef my neighbour brought over and cooked so much even my dad who eats his steak very well done couldn't eat. All cooked in the slow cooker.

I also bought 2 kilos of oats from Morrison's. Price has gone up as they don't have the cheapo version, but got 200g oats, enough milk to cover, big spoon of jam, 1/4tsp cinnamon all in the shaker in the fridge. Gonna see what that's like tomorrow morning.

I'd raclette envy at a new years house party and impulse bought a machine in Aldi today. Who knew an electric table bbq would be so fun. Had fillet of pork with feta new potatoes and veg today. Thinking of trying Korean style tomorrow.

Electric and bbq do not mix! Although Korean style sounds awesome, I would LOVE to try that!

Chicken, leeks, potatoes, parsnip, carrot, onion, nutmeg, rock salt, pepper. Added some rice to it because CBA to make separate dishes. Could REALLY do with a nap, but training in a bit.

A LOT of leftover doner kebab, which was consumed bit by bit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All the fat had been rendered out so it wasn't greasy.
Bowl of chicken and root veg stew with added kebab meat for breakfast
Same for lunch
Bowl of chicken and root veg stew with doner in a pitta bread for dinner
There's a ton of leftover salad, so might have salmon steak and salad in a bit, or do that for lunch tomorrow.
