yeah it's a Titan F6. I've been hearing a lot about how good the rage X is, AFTER I ORDERED THE TITAN! but it was good enough for jim blanchflower so it'll do for me probably...

not entirely sure on the difference between squat and deadlift suit, but from wearing the squat suit I'd say at the very least the deadlift suit should have longer straps if you want any hope of reaching the bar whatsoever...

not a trainng update, but my f6 and centurion came today! if I ever manage to get anywhere near the bar I'll be deadlifting in the squat suit too. I went for a 42 f6 and 40 centurion, may go tighter when I'm more experienced in equipment

hahaha I'm just kidding.
You do look way older than 22 though.
SOLID liftings though, you always pull in oly shoes?

lol i know, you wouldnt say that if you saw me try to grow a beard though!

I did always pull in oly shows, just because it's what I was used to, I switched to some really flat shoes since the north west champs, it's a bit different feeling but i'll get used to it. I still squat in oly shoes

I've been training since I was about 12 as a sprinter, started strength training at about 16 for sprint purposes, was piss weak at first and kept working at it. I'm taking a break from sprinting over the indoor season because of a stress fracture in my foot and am just concentrating on getting stronger for a few months and competing when possible.

I've run 100m in 10.53 and 60m in 6.73 last year.

Here's a couple of gym deadlift photo's

wow, thanks for all the replies! I compete in GBPF, I'm after the equipped record but might enter an unequipped comp one day and take that record seems as all my deadlifts have been unequipped anyway.

The only video I have instant access to at the moment is a sideways (lol) touch and go 150kg bench press

23rd December 2009

Box Squat - Paused - 3-4" below parallel
20kg x 5
20kg x 5
60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 5 (HARD! not used to coming off such a low box)

ditched the box, but still working to the same depth

160kg x 5

threw on some knee wraps

180kg x 5 (surprisingly easy)

Bench Press - paused etc...

20kg x 5
20kg x 5
60kg x 5
100kg x 5
120kg x 4
130kg x 2

Called it a day at that. Objective for today was to test my mobility with a wider squat stance. I feel a lot stronger with my new stance, and was very happy to hit 180 for 5. Still waiting on my squat suit and bench shirt to arrive...

GOALS 2011

1. Win the GBPF Championships - Rob Palmer won't let me get away with that so easily.

2. Medal at European Championships - again, there's a couple of Ukranians and a Russian who will DEFINITELY have something to say about that.

3. Deadlift World Record at Europeans. Deadlift GOLD medal.

4. Medal at World Championships, with significantly higher total.

5. Beat World Record Deadlift.

Some numbers.

Total - 900 +. Let's say 2000 lbs.

Squat - 350kg

Bench - 210kg

Deadlift - 380kg

Plenty of room to play with and still set my total target.

Gym lift targets.

Belt only squat - 260kg
Belt and wraps squat - 280kg

Raw Bench - 170kg

18" deadlift - 480
(I'm not going to pick a load of numbers for every height...)

moz said:^check out Toms DL!!! 300kg? Nice to meet you at Northwest Tom, I think your arms may be a bit long to make you a huge bencher but theres no doubt your one strong mofo.

hey moz, thanks a lot, was good to meet you too. yep 300kg, wouldve been nice not to have to do it twice but got there in the end! you're probably right about my bench but we'll see what's what when my equipment comes (friggin pull um forgot to post it...) and I can get some proper training done!

Don't know if this is the right section, but if anyone is getting rid of a single ply bench shirt size 40-42 let me know, and also a squat suit for a similarly proportioned lifted, 5ft 9, not tried any on so no idea what size i need yet

I just totalled 640 in just a belt and knee wraps this weekend at the north west championships, so I'll be there and hopefully fully equipped in the 82.5's. Looking forward to it!
