More so for the fact you're taking the bar out yourself and not having it handed to you; this can sometimes hinder PB's as for me, you lose a few KG on taking the bar out itself!

Got to be the right person though or it can quite often be worse! I don't always have the luxury and have recently learnt to do it myself, there aren't many I trust to give me the right hand out, and unfortunately, they don't seem to ever be around anymore.

Do you feel there was more there?

Thanks! I always try to pick a weight that I know will move well. 205kg would have been at the limit I think. When I attempt 205, it will be under circumstances where I 100% know I do not need a spotter. This mindset keeps me picking sensible numbers and facilitates better long term progress.

Actually a legit 100kg bodyweight at the moment too Happy Taking a leaf out of AMH Power's dangerous book of benching PB's alone. It's a good motivator....

Yes I suppose I should!

I just got emailed by powerliftingwatch to tell me I made the top 20 all time best raw total list under 100kg, in 16th place, tied with a few others at 13th though. I'm pretty pleased with this for my first comp at 100kg. So I suppose my next target will be to crack the top 10 and then keep working my way up.

Anything worth squatting would have have been unacceptably painful today so just did some deads from blocks and rested the overused squat joints.

180
220
260
300

Finished with some upperback bodybuilding type stuff.

Tomorrow should be better Happy
