As much as I wanted to do some events and work in with the competition ready guys.. I still wasn't fully fit and struggled to get going initially, and then once warm realised I couldn't do everything that I wanted and had to again box clever with my choice of exercises. Saturday 29th May 2010 In OSG with Mick Ashurst, JC, Boar, Smalls, Joni and Robbo. Deadlift 70x5 120x5 Just to get warm, lower and mid back still recovering from the previous weeks loading. Stiff Legged Deadlift 2x10 70x10 70x10 This got more blood where I needed it and I realised farmers etc were not there this weekend and I would have to plod along with what I could for the duration. Press 40(3x10) Boar came in with birthday boy Joni, he wanted to squat first... This I could do, hopefully! Back Squat 40x10 80x5 120x5 130x5 Axle Back Squat 150x5 190x3 150x5 Should have stuck/done some more of them on my own in a corner to be honest... Instead I recorded some videos and enjoyed the atmosphere and my aches and pains. Log 62.5x1 82.5 x1 92.5x1 102.5x1 Time to head downstairs to do some stones with the chaps. Atlas Stones 70x5 top rack 93x3 middle rack 117x2 bottom rack 117 middle rack 135 bottom rack 135(2x1) middle rack Not bad and nothing great... Good reality check and time to do some planned training with more variety, tonnage and lay off the heavy, testing for a while... Well at least until I'm full of beans again. Tomorrow I will do: Back Squats 150(5x5) Press 90(5x2) Log Strict Press 92.5(5x3) |
