Saturday 7th November

Container Comp.

Overhead Medley
1 x 40kg db
1 x 80kg yoke
F x 95kg log
F x 56kg inch

My mate David was up first on this, and hes pretty good overhead, when I saw him struggling with the log my arse went a bit, no problems with the first two, cleaned the log but couldnt get the press, gave up, tried the inch, nothing doing there either - didnt even bother trying the axel press.

Deadlift Medley
1 x 180kg axel
1 x 125kg farmers
1 x 200kg trap bar
F x 220kg oly

Really let myself down on this one, wasnt fast enough between stations and spent some time dicking about with my hand position on the trap bar (first time ive ever pulled on it), think i got the 220kg oly up, got the signal from Matt, but just as he did it my grip on my right hand went and I dropped the bar and was rightly given a no-lift. Rookie mistake in not having some chalk in my pocket.

Farmers / Tyre / Duckwalk

115kg farmers x 15mts / 1 tyre flip / 140kg duckwalk

Dropped the farmers once, and wasnt particularly fast with them, but that weight was a pb, tyre was ok, then duckwalk slow but steady - plus another pb.

Stones
1 x 100kgs
F x 115kgs

First stone flew up, but I had obviously f**ked up my tacky as it had pretty much all come off. 2nd stone was a crap attempt, head went, technique went to s**t, another rookie mistake in not having my tacky on-hand in between lifts.

Had a great day tho, learnt some valuable lessons, met some sound people and put faces to names (kev, mark, tony, Pagan).
Cheers to JT and his missus for a great comp and Matt Griff for reffing, and everyone else involved. Really enjoyed my first comp and now i know how far off i am from where i want to be im going to step up my training and come back stronger.

Moved up a place!
Really enjoyed today JT, thanks to you and your guys (and gal) for a smooth day.
Pagans time on the stones and medley are superb.

The stones and possibly the axel overhead can lick my balls, but everything else looks do-able.

Ah thank f**k for that, thought you were going to tell me it was dodgy or something.

Not worried about a loading platform for it just yet - 150kg atlas stone is a "future project"!
