Boar said:good work nedward , I absolutley runined myself during the marathon , got a PB (3:51) but made myself so unwell i had to take 4 days off work !! we have a boxing gym about 600 meters from my house but the owners seem to have sold out and now do sessions that just seem to be '8 station interval training' bit like a HIIT sesh at the local gym. anyhoo , we keep on going xxx Thats a great time mate , i'm not suprised you were ruined . the boxing gym sounds a bit cack , the one i train at is really good my only complaint is he's not that keen on old men knocking lumps out of each other so i get limited opportunity to spar , and with out sparring its difficult to improve . Luckily my oldest son is keen to spar me at every opportunity , probably because he's a lot better than me | |||

monday 1 hours boxing training tuesday atg split squats bodyweight 25 30kx10 50kx10 each leg power cleans 62.5k 5/5/5 dumbell bench press single arm into right cross with resistance band 22k x10/10 box jumps 3 sets of 5 will measure the box height next week . wednesday 4x 2 minute rounds light technical sparring with my eldest alarming difference in hand and foot speed . then did 4 rounds of pads wearing the body protector . | |||

Saturday morning scrap heap boxing class over 40's boxing for 1 hour , started at 8am took half an hour to get going and finished with head looking like a beetroot. many thanks ED | |||

started lifting weights again so new journal. mostly boxing at the moment so the weight training is just to compliment that , i no longer have any strength goals. warm up 4 rounds shadow boxing with slip line sumo deadlift 60kg 3x3 90kx3 110kx3 120k3x3 slam ball throws 4 sets 5 reps each arm 2 sets straight 2 sets hooks. standing long jump 1 set 5 reps atg split squat elevated front foot bodyweight only 25 reps each leg 1 minute pullups 18 15 then 3 rest pause 1 minute push ups 30 dislocated my shoulder and tore my rotator cuff in April or May last year only just getting back to be able to do push ups . | |||
