I agree I wouldn't but the blame on him, what he tried almost came off, but that was a big opportunity. Really close game, excellent to watch. The pressure Wigan put teams under is awesome, similar to watching some of the Australian sides at times.

You'd imagine with the departure of Senior, Lauatiti and possibly buderus that there would be 2-3 good signings coming for Leeds. If it were me I'd probably let Lee Smith and Brent Webb go too and I would never have signed Delaney who is just not that great of a player. Richard Moore has always had potential, very lively player so he might kick on given the chance. I wouldn't be surprised to see Leeds chasing Kirk Yeaman to replace Senior either.

Great final, if Leeds fans want to moan about anything though it should be Jones-Bishop's terrible decision to kick through when he was down the touchline on the 2nd. He had to hold that ball and build pressure because Wigan were close to cracking then. Great prospect though, as are Watkins and Clarkson.

And Alan tsagaev owned the clean and jerk record...?
Anyway I remember a 17 year old ilya attempt 238 twice to take the record back home

Tsagaev has the 105kg C&J record with 237, Kolecki has the 94kg with 232.

If you fail off your chest it is more likely a technique problem than 'weak pecs'.

Massive squat
» MasterTs Log (Go to post)21-06-2011 @ 22:13
I for one think this log is awesome reading and it would be a shame to see it stop.

What reason would there be to make up these numbers? The only point in making that sort of thing up is big oneself up in some way. That certainly isn't happening here. Retarded to hound out somebody who is clearly prepared to share their professional opinion for free.

I really hope he gets a gold medal in London, awesome lifter to watch and has been unlucky to have Armanau around.

Both significantly over the WR's are they not?
» Deadlift vs snatch (Go to post)12-06-2011 @ 14:16
I think a lot of this really hangs on what you are defining as a snatch. There are doubtless are higher proportion of very strong people who could muscle up a snatch than could actually perform a full snatch that would pass in a comp - which since the original point was about olympic weightlifting, seems to be the point. Pendlay has stated that during one of his visits to Westside he spoke to Louie about this rumor, and it is total bulls**t.

Presumably hitting some sort of qualifying total for something? A session at the worlds maybe?

Bananhan isn't the best winger at Bath, yet alone in the world.

A-levels and uni would be my advice. Uni is an amazing experience.
» Louie Simmons on weightlifting (Go to post)12-05-2011 @ 12:21
Pendlay said he has taken lifters out there and tried some of Louie's ideas - which were mainly avoid doing the full lifts and focus on supplemental exercises - powers etc, and it straight up didn't work, so he stopped trying. This isn't to say that it couldn't work, but top level powerlifters have little conception of what is needed to succeed as a top level weightlifter and vice versa. Totally different sports.
» Patella Tendonitis (Go to post)21-04-2011 @ 12:33
My right one was f**ked, surgeon whipped out a s**tload of fluid from under the tendon and spaffed in some steroids, totally fixed in 5 minutes. Obviously did nothing about the underlying cause - s**t hip mobility - but it removed the pain and gave me a chance to sort out my mobility to the stage where I rarely get any trouble now.
