Looked pretty comfortable squatting for me. I'm guessing the weight is going to start shooting up soon.

About time you had a representative PB for your DL in the table. Well done!

Yes, that's what I figured, but you know how it is... the doubt creeps in nonetheless!

I just found out my time for the 10k, it was 54:19 which put me in 218th place in a race of 254. Well it was OK for me anyways. Actually that's probably even a PB, and certainly beats my effort last year.

Monday 2nd July

DL: 90 x 6, 140 x 5, 165 x 5,3,5. 4-5mins rest between.
WG chins: BW x 8,8,8. 2mins rest between.
BB rows: 60 x 8,8. 2mins rest between supersetted with below
BB curls: 36 x 8,8.

Well a little disappointed not to get that second set of 165 x 5, but I just didn't have anything left in the tank - gave myself an extra minute and a good talking to for the last set though. It wasn't strength per se cos the first rep on each set came up easy. I am putting it down to the 10km race yesterday taking more out of me than I realised and leaving it at that. No need to worry, still on target for my 200k come the end of the month. Next week it's 170 x 5,5,5.

Yeah, I feel it in my back when I'm running, although this morning was fine. It's finding a time where I can get a run in and not affect my lifting. After deads means it won't directly affect those, and also means it's at least 3-4 days away from Squats. Dunno.

Goals though. I've got a date with a 200kg deadlift at the end of this month. End of year I want to be 180/120/220. I think that's doable if I carry on eating well, sleeping well and keep injury free.

Sunday 1st July

10km race today. Conditions perfect and course pretty flat, felt relatively relaxed going round (not sure that's a good thing!) but not sure what time I did. Fluffed my own timing and when I got past the line I didn't see their own clock. However, my wife says it was 52 something. I will get back to this with a link to the website once they have the official results up. Until then I can only hope that it actually was 52 something and not 55 something!

OK that's the end of 10km races for this year. I'm going to go running once per week from now on just to keep my fitness up - perhaps between dead and bench day to keep it away from squats.

Don't know if you did but it looked like you clanged your knees when you were putting the bar down after your mil presses. Made me flinch anyways.

I've got to get myself an Olympic set. And you've definitely got to get a cage or something, cos it can't be funny to have 120+ slowly making its way down to your neck heh Nice benching though. My aim for the end of this year is to get a 120 for a single!

No question about that. I too found it easier to pile up some stuff rather than making the rather spiffy box that Mr Boar created. I suppose I was more concerned about ending up with a nail in my arse if my previous carpentry skills are anything to go by.

I measured myself at just a gnat's nadger bellow parallel with a 12" box. I'm 5'9" in old money, how tall are you?

Friday 29th June

25km bike ride. Nice and easy bike ride into town. Stop for lunch and a few beers and then back home again. Still, I'm going to count this as cardio Tongue

Rows and pull ups. I might try some of those viking badboys once I feel I can muster the required attitude.

I'm a little envious I have to say!!! There's only one thing I'd like to make my barn complete and that is to swap my sport-shop standard bar and weights set with an olympic set! I really ought to start saving up.
