I can tell you with confidence Iain that Dylans Bar will be open serving pints as always! Burger and a beer £4.50...perfect for before, during and after.

So Macca will be around to help spot and load on Sunday Grin Tongue sounds good!

I guess the question is how do YOU feel about doing your last deadlift at 8pm. I personally have no issue with this as my training is ususally in the evening anayway, so sort of suits me.

Its just a matter of making this as much of an Event as it is a spectator sport.

BigMacca said:Last year (on the Saturday anyway) they spilt the flights up into two groups ran it like two separate competitions

So in the morning flights 1 - 3 all squat, bench then deadlift.

In the afternoon flights 4-5 squat, bench then deadlift - I was in flight five and I don't think I started lifting until around 14:30 and was done and dusted for around 16:00

How did you find that set-up?

Best of luck buddy! Your squats are looking strong!!
» 58kg lifters (Go to post)28-02-2011 @ 22:19
Steve Tyres did something like 140/100/227.5 raw at 20 years old last year around 61 BW. I think thats a good goal post for the top lifter age wise at around that weight?

Also think he did 235 raw deadlift at about 62 bw at the GBPF juniors last year.

Something nice for him to aim for Grin

An impressive entry list so far. Over 120 entered and up to 19 lifters in the 75 class alone. Similar numbers in the 82.5 and 90 class also Eek
