Glad you liked it Marc - because in the paper the article is accompanied by a picture of me and you in Italy! A BWLA article with a BDFPA photo. Pmsl!

Got quite a good write up in the local paper this week. Let's hope it has some positive effect. The temporary title was used with Bryn's approval, btw, to give the article more weight!

Happy New Year everyone. Have a great one!

If people are jealous of me, I can live with it. It can only motivate me to increase the extent of their jealousy in 2008. There could be a gold bandana on the way...

He's worked out cut and paste! And he's wondering what happened to the "I won't bench over 80 kilos for a few weeks until my arms are better". And awaits the double biceps You Tube posting! And agrees that benching the day after a party, arms bad or not, is a bucket-filler.

Didn't drink last night (apart from a glass of champers at midnight), but went to bed late and woke up with a psychosematic hangover this morning. And doms!

Last session of the year. An attempt on five threes with 150. I was not fully recovered from Friday, as I discovered when I started warming up...

Bar for 10
40 for 10
60 for 8
80 for 5
100 for 4
125 for 3
150 for 3
150 for 3
150 for 3
150 for 2 (failed 3rd)
150 for 1 (failed 2nd)
140 for 2 (failed 3rd)
130 for 5
120 for 7
110 for 9
100 for 10.

Jesus, that was hard! Five threes just wasn't there, but the positive is that I don't have to up the weight next time.Grin After the warm up, every set was done to the absolute max. I didn't leave even one rep behind today. Can't remember 100 feeling that hard for years, so I obviously worked to complete muscle exhaustion. John WWW was one rep ahead of me on everything from the last 150 onwards (he did a pair on set 5), so from now on he's just WW I guess. Can't call him weaker when he's stronger than me! But he's still a wa**er. Found out why his bench had been sticking. The silly sod had been sneaking in for a shoulder workout in the morning and then training bench in the evening!

No shame, Ed. I hadn't realised they had Damon Hill on lead vocals, though.
