Physio tonight, it all revolves around the back it would seem and the glute and hamstring have tightened up to "protect" it, it has all been freed off now, which requires some considerable viloence, and was not al together pleasant, and during the course of which my knees became closer to my forehead than I ever thought possible and than I ever want to happen again. I can give it a go when deadlifting tomorrow and have to return in a fortnight or so to ensure all is well. Just need to do a slightly different warm up and all should be well

Maybe not, however it is nice to add to that small but select group of individuals who don't think I'm a complete t**t

» My Squats ..... Dont know if am happy with them (Go to post)27-10-2010 @ 23:41
Good weight and decent depth, but I wouldn't be happy with them. Too many minor points are wrong, the squats themselves are fine, but the bar looks high on your back, you look a bit "slouchy" in the start position, your walkout is a touch ponderous. At no point do you look happy and like you are enjoying it. Everything needs to be tighter and more secure and positive. Nothing that can't be fixed though. Details matter a lot more than you think

Wednesday 27th October, start 17:00

Bench, raw, kilos, and for a change, fives

20 x 20
20 x 20
20 x 20
60 x 5
60 x 5
60 x 5
all paused from here
100 x 5
105 x 5
110 x 5
115 x 5
120 x 4

I tried a fifth but my chest exploded, dear lord, this was rum, the weight was bobbins but the fourth and fifth reps changed everything, quite a shock to the system

As we are changing things

Incline, dumbell press, still kilos, it must be twenty years since I did these

16 x 10
18 x 10
20 x 10

Again the weight is nothing but it's like doing them on the deck of a small ship on a stormy sea, I am all over the place, very much outside the comfort zone here.

It being Wednesday there is one comfort zone I need to get back into, the one I missed last week due to United and some halfwit crashing, well another halfwit crashed this week as well but without MUFC to back him up, he failed. Arrived Oldham all present and correct and had a fine old time with the lovely Steph. Steph likes it when I'm present and correct and by the Lord Harry I was tonight

and polishing the gunz at home tonight with some dumbells and bands and what not... I'm getting pretty huge now.

Hugeness is measured around the waist Tom, but you weren't to know that.

A gentleman does not have "gunz" That term is for the mirror-kissers.

Please refrain from standing at 45 degrees while playing pool, it confuses me. Almost to the point of falling over.

Glad to hear that all is well

Monica Belluci (46 years old)
I think she might just be better than Nigella Lawson.... am I wrong?

But does she make good custard ?

She is a fine looking woman, no disputing that, but Nigella is the sort of woman who simply would not let you sleep before adminstering breast relief.

And of course there is the custard issue.

NL - custard, breast relief, hips that could take 700 pounds of hip thrust power and thighs to die for.
MB - looks nice

Unless more information comes to light I'm back with Nigella tonight

Excuse my ignorance but who or what is GoatBoy?

GoatBoy is a big ol' shaggy ol' smelly ol' thing whose purpose in life is to bring sexual pleasure mainly, though not exclusively, through the medium of cunnilingus, to ladies, mainly, though not exclusively, of the night.

For the inspiration of the original GoatBoy go to you tube, type in "Bill Hicks, Goat Boy" and you will be rewarded with a ten minute clip.

Enjoy

And thank you for asking, should you require more information, GoatBoy is contactable through me.

Monday, 25th October, start 17:00

Alan asks about the back,
"so-so" I reply "treatment booked for Thursday"
"play it by ear" says he "don't do aything you might fail at"

Squat, old suit, straps down, no wraps, tonight's weights will be kilograms

60 x 5
60 x 5
60 x 5
straps up
100 x 5
140 x 5
180 x 3
wraps on
200 x 3
220 x 3
240 x 3
260 x 3

The back didn't hurt but I could feel it, the 240 was fine and dandy but things changed on the 260, I did them but my body language changed, I became more tentative, I shaved them, which is particularly annoying as full depth is always easier. Both Joe the terrible and DrRick noticed the change as did I. The consensus was that I was displaying all the signs of my bottle going, 280 would have been nice, and possibly do-able, but it isn't worth the risk, just short of confidence in the back. We call it at an end then and there. He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day and all that. Bench Wednesday and treatment Thursday. We can reaccess the situation after that. End 18:30 Big thanks to Joe, DrRick and aaron for their assistance tonight.

One handed press with a girl in a skirt is a fun way to go, hand up the skirt, find the finger holds and away you go Happy

I'm getting a bit confused here. Aren't you the one who introduced the concept of dubious handholds into the thread ?

Your head is lower than most which is surely an advantage when trying to get things over it
