Get organised and regimented with Training & Nutrition to perform competitivly at a higher level than last years two novice comps, using it as a stepping stone for even higher levels in 2011!

Along with a 2:1 or higher degree in strength & conditioning added to getting a internship with a professional outfit in the UK or US !

Use some talc and get a buddy to help you on with them the first few times you use them if you can.

Why didn't i think of talc earlier. My lass forwarded me a bunch of EliteFTS kit i ordered to her in Texas. I ordered their single ply black knee sleeves but they sent double in the same size, now ive got them on in the past few lower body session and fook me they help out of squatting hole. But i think they run even smaller than your red/black single sleeves, so talc may just be the solution!

thanks Brian + major thanks on the bands !!! on my platform the one pair of purple bands (folded in half and doubled up) gives approx 50kg of tension at the top of my deadlift (im just over 6ft tall). So i may have over ordered seeing as the guys that are training are not anywhere near strong by sugden standards but thats much better than under ordering!

to mark my 100th post, i found this on Poundstone's facefook and figured it was worth a post as it made me laugh. Now my detective skills point towards this being nothing to do with Derek, I guess he just got tagged in the picture.

Thanks bryn

Im approching this from both ends, you guys on here and I've emailed ivanko on saturday and they got bk to me saying they do a internal componets kit for $25 + postage from US

My main issue right now is the fact i cant get the large clip ring out, so even if i did get a replacemet washer i cant fit it !
» Ivanko Bar Repair (Go to post)14-12-2009 @ 22:00
simply solution, short length broom handle down the barrel of the sleeve whacked with a mallet ! straight out !!

i think ive found the problem, there is a large clip ring underneath the cap inside a grove
(thats another thing im struggling to get out).

Under the clip there is the remains of (quarter section to be exact) of a uneven shaped washer. When i say "uneven i mean it is slightly wider on two sides like this http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/3900/clipboard01dx.jpg

i guess the wider sections of this washer hold the bar in the sleeve.
» Scaffolding axle (Go to post)14-12-2009 @ 15:09
c**tos said:No, but I have used an axle made from a s**tty bar with scaffolding over the central bit (i.e. remove one end loading sleeve, add scaffolding pole, replace end sleeve. It was stronger than you'd ever need and weighed about 30kg when not loaded.

did it roll out of your grip ?
» Scaffolding axle (Go to post)14-12-2009 @ 14:59
mine is 6 1/2 feet, pretty thick scaff pole. With two Ivanko 2.5kg collars as stoppers. total weight 25.2kg !

Deadlifting is fine, ive loaded mine over 230kg

IronWorx, swindon in the past had a much thinner pole obviously lighter in weight but we had that up to 130kg for Axle Clean and Press
