As an aside, his wife maggie, played by Susan Howard went on to play Mara in Star trek, the first female Klingon with a speaking role, in the episode "Day of the Dove".

Maybe I should start training again?Unhappy

Yeah, you should, it's one thing having knowledge of Petrachelli, but when you can quote facts about Star Trek you know you need to get out more! Grin

Sounds like Petrachelli is helping out.

I hear he just needs to finish off his plumbing and then decorate. Nearly done.

Nice one Tony. Your garden is cool, a mix of kids toys and strongman kit. It's good that you can get away with it. Happy

...at the bottom of the squat, otherwise when I go heavy my hips start to rise before my heed.

Sorry, just went to make a brew before I finished that post.

I feel that a belt helps keep me erect.

The 75 is very easy boar. The 105kg is pretty easy too with tacky.

Gotta try a stones sometime. Whats this spray you've got? They've got a 110 and a 130 stone at Exertrain but not tried em yet, plus I don't think they want tacky using inside the gym, so I'll have to wait till I can get outside with the stones, unless the spray stuff'd do.
Looking forward to finding out what your 1RMs are Alan. When you next likely to try em out. Your squat will have gone through the roof I reckon, plus you'll be good for a 140+ bench. Grin

Pretty accurate - however the next consideration is 'what is training hard'
For example - training hard for powerlifitng will use alot less kcals than training hard for weightlifting and strongman - there are to be fair so many variables to take into consideration.

hmmm, well I train with Martin Brown, so do f**k all really! lol
However if I'm due to train some events I will try and eat more beforehand.
» Protein (Go to post)17-03-2010 @ 10:10
Not sure how much of anything I'm having at the moment, but I do know that when I was smaller and upped the protein to near 300g a day I got fatter. I probably have less than 200g per day now, I'm fat, but that's gerneral overeating/poor food choices. What I am saying is Matt is right about overdoing the protein. We have been conditioned by the bb mags (if we ever read them) to think we need as much as possible, and in a way I suppose if you can afford it it may be better to make sure you have at least enough with maybe some excess (just in case) protein to aid recovery. However if you're trying to stay lean and in pocket, there is no real need. That said, I kind of feel the same about carbs, if I have enough energy to do stuff and train hard surely I'm having enough?... Matt?

You're one strong dude! Big legs too, I guess that's a common factor of olympic lifters though.
