I can't answer that, he should be - He was the first guy to do it!
Probably because it was before Facebook/Instagram/YouTube so it can't have really happened

Ahhh, you should have said!

If there’s no video it can’t possibly be real.

I’m not even sure Glen Ross is real.

Now I’m questioning everything.

That was a different comp.
He bombed on deadlift at the 2008 BPC British Championship
He did 1000kg at the 2004 Irish Senior Powerlifting Championship

So why the hell is he not on the list...?!

Why will no one answer?

Grin

As an aside... massive well done Sam. You fat f**k. Plans to get shredded now....?
» Best/Most Credible Drug Free Powerlifting organisation? (Go to post)04-10-2018 @ 12:40
Hi,

Long time no post.

Hope everyone is good.

Just a quick question (and easier than me doing my own independent ‘google research’);

What are the options for Drug Free powerlifting nowadays?

Still GBPF & BDFPA?

I’m looking at getting back into competing in some fashion and would like to see where the cool kids (you guys) recommend.

Thanks in advance.

Nice to see you logging Will.

I’m not. I’ve lost interest in putting down my paltry efforts into the forum 😄

Training for an u80 qual again this year?

I’ve watched all of this and I have to say....

I have 2 observations;

1. Sone fantastic performances being put in! The women especially are smashing it!

2. The stream is f**king s**t.

Rob Ward (u90) misses a WR log attempt of 175kg (if my maths is correct).

Seems like one of the u175lbs guys has seriously f**ked himself up on the log.

Comp stopped and a lot of frantic shouting from a high pitched Amercian lady “I need a MEDIC, I need a MEDIC”

Blocked on my phone for some reason mate.

But. I found a solution.

Follow ‘Train Strongman’ on FB and I think they’ll be streaming direct from their page.

Great success!

The stream has been blocked god damn it!

Anyone know of another stream available for this?

Unsure if this was common knowledge on here yet or not.

Thought some of you might be interested;

So.

What do we reckon Ed would get....?

Hypothetically.

Capable of 420/260/460 as a MINIMUM surely....?

So that’s a 1140 total.

Cheers Rebecca.

May well be interested in a couple of these events next year.

I missed on signing up last year so subsequently didn’t compete at all.

I’ll get a video uploaded no problem.

Will work up to a tentative squat ‘max’ at some stage next week.

I think some things need to be clarified Grin

-I’m just over 5ft 6” (I’m far from tall and lean). To be 100kg would effectively be a path to morbid obesity closely followed by death. Painful death. Painful fat death.

-Mr. Savage: Agreed, a total wins in PL... but when giving away SO MUCH one the squat (the lift with the potential for the 2nd largest proportion of the total....) that needs to be focused on. My ass can not make up for the deficit in a bigger bench and deadlift.

-At 80kg I’m not particularly lean. The heaviest I’ve been is 84/85kg (competed in strongmam u90kg and then subsequently u80kg).

-No interest in continuing with the strongman. Reason: My spine seemingly can’t handle all the weird and wonderful events (yoke and stones mainly). Looking for some longevity and to not be a total knacker when I’m 40+
Also. Taking ALL DEM DRUGS is of no interest to me. Unfortunately seems to be the necessity.
