I am proud of what i have achieved this weekend considering the circumstances AND being drug free and only 24.

Because lets me honest and not pretend that drugs dont massively help.

Anyone who has anything negative to say can trot on!

Firstly, massive congratulations on your performance so far, no mean feat!

But to have any ‘ill will’ against people that use PEDs in an untested comp is just odd. You’re right, of course they help.... that’s why the top performers are taking them.

If your moral compass/insert other reason here means that you don’t (and won’t) take PEDs, that’s up to you, but if you don’t win or place where you’d like, surely that can’t be the underlying theme reasoning.

I’d go out on a limb (I don’t really lift heavy things and put them down much anymore... so somewhat out of the loop) and suggest that there must be tested comps for open women? Why not go and smash those events (if you aren’t already).

It’s not like winning any of these comps will change the direction of your life financially so really, competing at this level (although impressive) should still just be fun, not a life or death serious business.

But (the TLDR) version. If you WANT this to be the only important thing in life, I guess the suggestion would be; Take drugs, be number 1 in the world across all comps. I’d assume that’s just about the only way to make a meagre living from strongwoman.

If you don’t, just enjoy it. Burn bright for a couple of years then have the realisation that just staying healthy is the priority.

I have a massive issue with buying (and hoarding) gym equipment for my garage. I rarely train seriously anymore but I’m obsessed with amassing a collection (this post is off the back of me just purchasing a plate loadable leg press).

Here’s a list of the kit I currently have (which if anyone wants to purchase... feel free to make me an offer... it will allow me to replace and fuel my addiction Grin )

-Watson Dumbbells (10-50kg: 2.5kg increments) w/Rack
-60kg DBs
-Strength Shop Garage Rack
-Eleiko Men’s Training Bar
-ATX Ram Power Bar
-3x Strength Shop Oly Bars (20kg)
-1xs**t Ladies 15kg Bar
-250kg SS Bumper Plates
-150kg Body Power Cast Plates
-120kg Rubber Coated Plates
-Football Bar
-50mm Axle
-Preacher Bar
-Strength Shop Flat Bench
-Strength Shop Adjustable Bench
-Plate Load Lat Pulldown (cheap)
-KB’s- 4kg-48kg (4kg increments)
-SandBells- 3-5-10kg
-10kg & 20kg Slam Ball
-3-5-10kg Med Ball
-Strength Shop GHR
-60kg Standard Plate & 2x Standard Bars
-Row handle, Rope, straight bar (attachments for Pulldown)
-8x Horse Stall mat
-TRX
-Lots of Bands
-Chalk Bowl
-Fat Grips
-Incremental plates (0.5 & 0.25kg)
-Plate Load Leg Press (just purchased)
-Keiser TBT (assault bike)
-Keiser M5 (Cross-trainer)

I think that’s about it. Probably some random bits I’ve missed.

Do you have a garage/home gym? If so, please share details of it below, I’m genuinely interested in reading about other people’s home set up)

Dr Who?

Dr Pepper?

Dr Dre?

Dr Strange?

I think Dr Pepper is probably the most well know Dr worldwide due to the soft drinks success (however, this might be cheating)

Just to chime in;

I enjoy reading your log and do check in daily Pete.

No longer posting myself as I really don’t ‘do’ an awful lot, but still an active lurker.

Long may your entertaining articulate log continue.

Getting strong as hell dude!

On another note, are you still in touch with ‘Traps’? (Went to Exeter Uni with him several years ago). Seem to remember you guys were mates?

JackRevans said:I just read the first post. You talk a lot of s**t about how you're weak and havnt trained for years and then you're strict pressing 95kg and deadlifting 220 x 5!!

The first part of your post was accurate Grin.

To be fair I did used to be decently strong (280kg Deadlift, 105/107.5kg strict... @80kg). Now though, and empty bar might kill me. We will see.
