Someone still actually lifts weights in this forum and doesn’t just row?!

Awesome!

Looking at the sack toss I guess you’re training towards Official Strongman Games?

AHA! I see. Thank you. We’ll see what happens. I’m sure plenty of beasts have emerged since I last competed (so maybe 20+ reps is the norm now?! Grin)

I’m not sure about that.... Grin

I just don’t list my warm up sets and COPIOUS amounts of mobility on here. I’m getting pretty old now (32 tomorrow)... it’s certainly not as easy just to jump straight in as it once was.

After work:

C2

30 mins 7602 1:58.3 21 150

I allowed my heart and stroke rate to drift up a bit because I was feeling good and though, "Why not?" I'm actually surprised they're both as low as they are because I thought they'd be about 155 and 23 respectively. First session of my HM training. Unhappy

Strong incline for (I assume) not having a strength focus currently.

What’s your Bodyweight currently?

I can’t comment much on the rowing/cardio.... I’m fairly uninformed there.

Axle Push Press (this was already set up from yesterday and I fancied a few light reps for practice)

90x10

Rationale; BNSF qualifiers seem to be ~80kg max reps in 75s (on a log), so I want to be very comfortable with more than this weight. Viper press will be the winner on this event.

Prone Banded (Blue) Hamstring Curl

2x20

SSB Squat

To 140 (5s eccentric)
120- 5x3 (as above)

SLDL

160- 2x12

‘Farmers’ walk

50kg DBs- 4x Walk for 1min, several turns

Sandbag Load

100- 5x1 (chest height)

Dead bug & Side plank superset (5mins)

Well.. you might need to polish up that tech mate Grin
» Predictions: WUS Bahrain Strength Island 13 March (Go to post)26-02-2021 @ 11:58
1: Tom "The Albatross" Stoltman
2: Oleksii Novikov
3: JF Caron

Tom wins stones, Novikov wins DB, Tom beats Novikov at Deadlift....?

It’s a tough one to call. But JF is solid all round so I think he’s definitely top 3.

Would really like to see Luke S, Bish & Terry all battling for top spots too of course.

80kg x 10
90kg x 8
100kg x 8

Dip
BW x 12
+20kg x 10
+40kg x 7

After a couple of mega-stressful days, I'm really pleased to say I've landed the Deputy Head job at my current school. It's a lovely local school (one of the best in Bolton) where my three kids go and a ten-minute walk from my house. Ideal!

Bit ‘stalker’ but wanted to check back in with your log.

Congrats on the Deputy Head position. My wife is Head of Languages in a School so I can appreciate the work that goes into that.

P.S. strong benching (just to get back on topic Grin )
