Says left libertarian. Not sure tbh thinking I'm slowly edging more right with age.

Is this viewable in any format? I've watched Liz's review but no footage would be good to see it, even clips.

That's amazing. Aren't you sub-120kg?

I enjoyed the competition. Licis was a likeable winner.

Does Hicks not do WSM anymore? And has Paul Smith stopped competing?

Hopefully see Brunning there next year.
» Anyone know of gyms with power stairs? (Go to post)04-08-2019 @ 11:44
Stockys in Lincolnshire, some distance but in case you're ever passing and need them!
» Why strength train? (Go to post)04-08-2019 @ 11:12
I've had a similar journey. Career change and injury drove my changes. Always kept training but maintenance rather than PBs and so on. Trying to get back to strong again is difficult, I squeeze in three sessions a week and just try to ensure I work hard while I am there. There are people in the gym training 6 days a week and spending twice as long at the gym, I wouldn't necessarily say they are using their time better they just have more of it (time). I have found I put more into my training with limited time as I do not have the luxury of faffing about. It was always a social thing as much as anything for me so putting the mindset of it just being purely training was a shift for me.

And I keep telling myself I will compete in strongman again to dangle the carrot of working towards something.

I still enjoy reading the posts, learnt a lot from reading Paul Smith and a few others' logs too. I hope it continues in some form.

» Eddie Hall on 'The Chase' tonight (Go to post)30-10-2018 @ 22:30
Good on him, I hope he is getting paid well for the TV stuff, he's given enough to the sport in terms of competition.

He was a bit rubbish at The Chase but was good to see him on it.
» First Man Film, Did The USA Go To The Moon ? (Go to post)22-10-2018 @ 23:52
I am admittedly a cynical soul but do not think there is any chance that the moon landing actually happened. To me it was merely a Cold War visual oneupmanship. Although this view is born of me watching 5 minutes of a documentary once...
