JackRevans said:I spent a good few months training like a bro, not squatting or deadlifting or really training legs at all. When I started lifting properly again, I basically completely changed the way I squat. It's now much more focussed on spinal stabilization and activating the correct muscles and stuff. I watched pretty much all of Chris duffins YouTube videos and then applied it to myself and just like magic my injury was a lot more manageable. Squat depth was sacrificed. Good for you mate. I hope you have many years of squatting ahead of you. I got taught how to squat properly a number of years back, but I've seen those Chris Duffin videos and his way is more or less exactly as I was shown. I went from believing I had some physical impediment which prevented me from squatting without constant back injury, to being able to perform the lift quite well, within the space of a couple of sessions. I am not exactly injury free: lower back is a big iffy, shoulder is impinged, mind is disarranged, and when I pushed for a medical diagnosis on my knees, the doctor told me they are cream knackered. Yet I can now squat pain free, and I am more flexible than I have been for years - albeit still with a need for more improvement.

Did you certify as coc#4 gripper? If so, that's really impressive.

Thanks Pikefingers - My bench strength is increasing quickly, hopefully my shoulder will be ok. Next time round I'll do 100, there is no rush. I'm not sure how I increased to 95 so quickly, must be some carry over from squats and deadlifts. Hopefully the disease is not TB. Hopefully just a common cold.

That is one of the advantages of being heavy, people scream when you stand on them. The countryside is better. Cities are all very well and good, but peaceful surrounding are healthy.

Will you be using straps? Will the bar be normal, or will it be an axle?

It's really good to see how you have progressed. Your routine is interesting. I predict at some point I may have to adopt a two day a week training routine like yours. Did you design it yourself?

Post Edited: 26.05.2016 @ 22:45 PM by StevenFatty Warm up sets.Working sets (felt like warm up sets - strength must be increasing) 35 X 5 37.5 X 3 42.5 X 1 (supposed to be amrap, but wanted to leave some in tank for max testing). 50 X 1 55 X 1 60 X 1 65 X 1 ... only just made this one. Its my max. Pathetically week, but much better than 3 weeks ago. Hopefully my shoulder will be ok from now on. 50 X 6 Assistance sets 3 sets of 10 at 30 kg. 2 sets of 10 at 35 kg. Chin ups. 5 X 10. Absolutely shattered today, slept terribly last night. Took some nose tork along to help me along. Gave some to a lad who was squatting, he'd never tried it before. He let out a small cough, then squatted. I thought he'd had non, but when he finished and turned round, his eyes were red and watering, and his face was purple, and he complained of being blind. Saw an industrial fire on the way home.

I misunderstood last post. My understanding is that they are retesting samples previously taken. Does this mean all of the samples that tested positive back in 2008 have been found to be positive again, or that some found to be false positives? Sorry for my ignorance.
