Ill all week with some gay cold, work made recovery harder so didn't train until Sunday 13th September 2015
Yoke PB 250kg 2x 20 metre lengths ! Farmers PB 120kg per hand 1x 20 metres length

Monday 14fh September 2015
Worked up to a 140 bench press 1RM ( not a PB but a current 1 RM at 80 kg body weight )

VMO and glute strengthening exercise due to muscular imbalances, nothing special

Saturday 5th September
Worked up to 100kg log clean and press NEW PR, then went down in weight to failure followed by some supine dumbbell press + weighted pull-ups

Monday 7th September 2015
Squat doubles with 160kg, 4 sets then back down to 145 kg and bashed out 7,5,5 ! Followed up with a 220kg deadlift for 2 reps,
200kg x 4,4

Got friends over and all sorts going on so training pattern is random

140 x 1 ( new 1rm, happy with this lift, wouldn't pass in a powerlifting comp because my bum left the bench but I'm a strongman not power lifter ! )

Played around with some standing dumbbell clean and press + cable rows ( trained at fitness first which is s**t with no equipment, won't go there again )

Been really busy at work so not training as much.

Thursday 20th August 2015

Haven't trained chest in any way at all over a month in order to gain more mobility in my shoulders ! Fancied a bench press session and was surprised at how well it went !

Followed by plenty of shoulder mobility stretches ! For anyone trying to increase their bench press I'd suggest focusing more on shoulder and tricep strength ! I haven't trained chest in a month but done plenty of overhead work and my bench press has gone up from 130kg to 135kg ! Decided I'm going to chase that 140kg bench and be happy with that ! Body weight 83kg

Monday 17th 2015

3 second pause squat no belt 5x5 130kg

Deadlift no belt 1x5 195kg

Deadlift belt 1x3 210kg

Deadlift 1xfail 240kg

CNS burnt out on the 3 reps of 210kg, pulled the 240 to my knees but couldn't go any further, won't attempt 240 again for 4 weeks and when I do I'll only do doubles up to 240kg in an attempt to peak my strength on the 240 !

Friday 14th August 2015

Haven't trained since Sunday, had swollen and painful knees, went to the doctors Wednesday and he said I had patella tracking disorder, my patella is facing outwards probably due to an overdeveloped quad pulling it outwards ! Been revered to hospital psychio but decided to start my own psyhio. Also been feeling a bit burnt out so taking Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off was a good idea ....

Seated military press 5x5 60kg

Weighted chin up 5x5 25kg

Weighted chin up 3x8 10kg

Log clean and press, worked up to a single PR 95 kg

Failed 100 kg log clean and press

Played around with some atlas stones

Deficit deadlifts for fun, pulled 220kg from my toes, no belt......

Wednesday 5/8/15

Squat clean - 100kg 3x3
( needs work still )
Overhead squat - 40kg 3x3

Only just gained the mobility to overhead squat properly, stopped chest work ( bench pressing ) as oly lifting and overhead lifting is more important, spent some time doing hand snatches and catching the barbell in the bottom position ! Learning to snatch a barbell alone is quite difficult !!

Sunday 2/8/15

Speed farmers / yoke training

165kg yoke carry 40 metres ( 20 metres and turn ) x 5 sets

160kg ( 80kg per hand ) farmers walk 40 metres ( 20 metres and turn ) x 5 sets

Speed day as apposed to heavy day !!

Monday 3/8/15

- Hip thruster 90kg 3x8
- SLDL 110kg 3x8
- Strict press 62.5kg 3x8
- Close grip bench press 82.5kg 3x8
- Weighted chin-up 11.25kg 3x8
- Seated cable row 100kg 3x8

- No training partner, really struggled but managed to finish each set just!

Friday 31/7/15

- 3 second pause back squat 120kg 5x5 no belt

- 3 second pause close grip bench press 80kg 5x5

- Deadlift 185kg 1x5 no belt
- Deadlift 210kg x1
-Deadlift 235kg x1 ( new 1RM )

Progression is still adding 2.5kg with each successful 5x5
