I'm playing around with the holds as a way of reducing the weight and increasing muscular fatigue. Don't fancy doing heavier weights on assistance stuff as I get closer to comp time and the main lifts are heavy.

Also I have a front hold at the UKs so the shoulder isometrics should help for that.

Yeah I am most pleased with my progress on the press, a combination of extra bodyweight and doing a lot more bodybuilding-style movements has helped a lot.

Haha maybe not this season but if things go to schedule 2015 may see a 400. Have put 20kg on my Deadlift every year since hitting 300 so 380 is the aim in a couple of weeks :-)

Saturday's Events Session

Got stuck in traffic so only had an hour to train as I had a stag do to get to. Ended up being a goo session.

Strict Log

Block Press
Did 5 reps with the new 102kg block I got off JT at atlasstones.co.uk Really tough to get a hold of and press as its very wide. Good to train on.

Finished with some front hold with the sledge hammers and some MAS wrestling.

Because I am getting closer to my comp and the weights are getting heavier. Simple intensity goes up volume goes down stuff.
