Absolutely quality lifting. I was going to comment on how impressive your hang clean was when compared to your squat on percentages also.
Glad to see you training for sport also. That makes it all the better.

Thanks Grin
Appreciate it!

Because of the no hating here, here is my 5x150kg bench vid

G Capes of the future???
Happy

Deads will be in my program in the winter again(october), that is why i'm not that strong in DL. I only do them for 12 weeks maximum a year.

I want to squat 210kg+ again in 3 weeks! and Powerclean 150kg+

Hopefully manage to do a 170kg bench also when i'm on training camp in portugal Grin

Goals before 8th of may:
BP: 170
SQ: 205x2 or 210+
Powerclean: 152,5kg
Pushpress: 152,5kg

Well, I consider 1m 89 pretty damn tall Tongue

Which shot putters do you admire?

Uhmmm mainly the gliders, because i'm a glider. So Storl, majewski and ofcourse also Whiting Happy

He looks to be using 300kgs on the first set/rep and 270 on the other.

Yeah he is insanely strong! The strongest guy I know is Christian Cantwell or Ryan Whiting.

Cantwell benched 350kg I think!
Whiting did 300kg safety bar squats for rep and paused Tongue

I've seen other field athletes press with arse of the bench before - but never have I seen someone pad the bar before?!? Looks mighty painful. Happy

I think i have a video of a 17,43m Throw on my yotube Happy

Yeah i use the pad as some protection for my chest :P

Sod the haters, you need to do what you need to do for your sport; you're not competing in powerlifting (yet Wink ) so no need to pause the bench currently...

Thanks Happy
I like the support over here!
I'm also on a dutch forum and there is every powerlifters hating so bad. even when it is explained 20 times, the still have that black and white vision about the correct technique for every sport

17,60m is my best throw, however I think I will throw around 18,30m in the comping season Happy

Those are some legitimate lifts though, and i think this will be different to most of the logs so i look forward to following your progress.

1x160kg
0x165kg

Military press:
5x70kg
3x80kg
1x90kg
1x92,5kg

Haven't done MP for over a year, so i was quite happy that i was still able to lift above 90kg

Monday 13 april:

Squat:
5x180kg
4x185kg
4x190kg
2x192,5kg
2x195kg

Hipthrust:

My knees bend to much to the inside while squatting, so I narrowed the stance a bit during workout.
Have to find an optimal solution. Also started doing hipthrusts again to work on my hip activation as well.

Hi guys,

I'm new on this forum, but definitely not new with working out. I'm training for six years now.
I'm Remco, 22 years old and I'm from the netherlands. My main sport is Shot put(athletics), i'm the silver medallist of 2014 and the bronze medallist of 2015.
A big part of my training for the shot consist out of lifting, but everything is sport specific. So my bench isn't powerlifting wise, but it is with a bounce for maxing out the power impulse.

Currently my program looks like this:
Monday: Legs + sprinting
Tuesday: Upperbody + throwing
Wednesday: Legs
Thursday: Upperbody + throwing
Friday: Legs
Saturday: Upperbody + throwing
Sunday: Rest

PB's
Squat: 210kg
Bench(Bounce): 162,5kg
Deadlift: 230kg
Powerclean: 150kg

Behind the neck pushpress: 150kg

kirkynick said:That's a pretty big power (hang) clean / BNP ratio to squat.

I'm a shot putter, so my explosive power is high.
I also bounce with my bench, gonna get haters for that i guess
Roll-Eyes

But yeah, gonna start logging from now on, so we will see.

But I'm in the top 3 of the netherlands in shot put and my strongest point is my speed.
