Yeah im easy with sub maximal. It feels like nothing but when I go really heavy I want to be fast otherwise I don't see the use. slow power is not handy for throwing in my opinion.

Soon 18+ I think indoors. I'm much stronger and better then when I threw 18,00 so we will see Happy

I will try to log more often again, busy with work as well. So then i train after and fall asleep haha.

But yeah my explosive power is best power i have. Also my behind the neck jerks are quite high.

Some updates:

Busy me!

Last weekend i had my first indoor shot put competition of the season. I ended second with a new indoor pb of 17,87m. The competition was held in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Next to that I just signed a contract with an English track club, so I will do some competitions in England next season Grin

Strength is also going well!
Squat improved to 3x200 and 2x210. My powerclean has improved to a solid 3x150kg

my 2x170kg Bench during my fourth week of off season training and the first 'heavy' lifting session.
First 4 weeks all bench with pause on chest, did a 5x140kg there, now starts the 'strength' block again with the bounce

First test of the year was yesterday.

the base level of strength after 1,5months of maintenance.

Bench press an easy 170kg, slighlty failed on new pb of 175kg.
Clean an easy 155kg, slightly failed on new pb of 160kg

base level is way higher than expected after 1,5 months of maintenance and 2 months of no cleans.

I'm sorry for the long period of inactivity!
Training continued and so did the competitions. However i didnt really have time to log. I was finalizing my master thesis and going on job interview. I will start next monday with working at Ernst & Young.

My throwing pb is still 18,00m. Got another bronze medal at the nationals this year and i broke 3 national records in the highland games(Did that after my competition season in athletics)

Now the real training begins again(or not that real yet, first getting the body ready again for the heavy lifting, so we start slow again as each year in the month september)

Yesterday's lifitng:

Squat:
3x8x140kg(without resting in the top)

Bench press(TnG so no bounce):
3x8x115kg

I had a competition on this saturday and one this Monday

Saturday I threw:
17,79m(PB)-X-X-17,67m-17,42m-X

Mondag I threw:
17,20m - X - 17,49m - 17,53m - X - 18,00M(PB)
