Nagy I'm surprised and a little disappointed about. Magnussen I thought was injured but at least I guessed right with Hanson!

Thanks for the info Happy

I have heard in the past that top 3 at Arnolds get an invite but that could be wrong. Under normal circumstances I would say someone with a performance that good in a high profile comp would definitely go but there are already three poles qualified. Baron, Kobylarz and Radzikowski. Personally I think he will get offered a place. Szymanski will probably be the guy to miss out.

Hasn't done anything much in the last couple of years. I can see Shivlyakov getting invited over him. I'm not even sure Misha has ambitions to compete at the highest level anymore.

Eben Le roux beat Van Stadden in Arnold Australlia so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets an invite to WSM.

Quite possibly as a reserve they always have one from the UK.

I posted in the competitions part of the forum about which competitors will get invites and if the vast majority are fit the organisers are going to have to make some tough decisions

Definitely qualified via Giants Live

(apologise for name misspellings)

1. Bjornson
2. Nystrom
3. Savickas
4. Baron
5. Kobylarz
6. Bergmann
7. Belsak
8. Hall
9. Arsjo
10. Hicks
11. Radzikowski
12. Felix
13. Forsmark

(Terry also qualified but has confirmed he is out)

the finalists from the previous year usually get invited:

14. Brant
15. Burke
16. Caron
17. Ostlund
18. Pritchett
19. Shahlaei
20. Shaw
21. Wildouer

We know who the 5th UK competitor is

22. Bishop

Which leads just 8 slots. At least two of which will probably be from Australia and South Africa. My guess as to the last 8 would be:

23. Schuen
24. Van Stadden
25. Hanson (They always seem to have at least one Norwegian)
26. Oberst
27. Savatinov
28. Shivlyakov
29. Kieliszkowski
30. Lalas (May well be out injured)

But that leaves out quite a few guys

Best (could miss the cut as there are so many other Americans)
Curuso (good debut last year but again to many Americans)
Zageris (Performing well in SCL)
Solvang (has been out of form for a while)
Koklyaev (has tried several comebacks)
Katona (Still performing well at SCL but hasn't been to WSM for a few years)
Szymanski (Did really well on his debut but three poles already qualified and another who was brilliant at the arnolds)
Nami (has been to the last few WSM)

Anyone I forgotten?

ugly event for me

this year Magnus counted some very questionable reps

they need event like fortisimus "squat'' lift

That would be another change to suit Z so you can probably expect it to happen.

With those events I make it Pudz, Z or Shaw.

Am I missing something as i havnt watched the rest of the comp but doesn't terry get an invite if he wants it from making the final ?

He finished 3rd in the Nordic giants live last year as well so he has a spot if he wants it.

I'm not sure Bish will automatically qualify unless there are injuries. Of course if Terry isn't going then it makes him look almost a certainty.

Must be a hard log, very few guys hit what we thought they could.

I worry for Lalas. He hasn't seemed to be able to recover from his back injury 12 months ago.

I think if the Z continues for another couple of years he could hit 232 - 235. Beyond that it is very hard to predict.

I don't think Thor will get top 3 with those events. Burke could possibly sneak in or Eddie if he has a great day. If Lalas is back to his best then the events are right up his alley so even he could podium.
