work sets
110k x 5
127.5k x 5

first day of my new routine today, im doing the 5/3/1 routine by jim wendler. im doing the boring but big version of the assistance exercise.

PRESS
bar x 2 sets of 5
5 x 37.5k
5 x 42.5k
5 x 50k just stuck to 5 the last sets is actually 5+

5 x 10 @ 30k

SHRUGS
with plate loaded machine
5 x 10 @ 60k not used the machine before, this was too light

chuffed with the session, i think i will do dips next time and do shrugs after my deadlift, im more interested in my big moves rather than the assistance stuff tho.

I'll be down at Marc's gym sometime in the New Year, we'll have to sort out a session there when you're free.

yeah that would be great, young luke is down there quite often, its a great training atmosphere.

I've no idea what's caused it as last weeks squats and deads gave no indication that anything was wrong.
I was going to take at least a week over Christmas off from training any way as I really do need a break but I have to admit this latest injury has got me wondering if PL is the way forward for me.

keep at it les, you are a great PL'er just be careful......maybe cut the volume for a few weeks.......actually if you do quit PL'ing you wont beat me at the north mids!

72.5kg- Failed. I'm blaming this on Dan, his press command seemed really slow, it felt like I had the bar on my chest for years, that's the best excuse I can come up with.

i dont believe this even happened, my commands were very nearly professional! although i did nearly fall over deadlifting!
