Yeah I couldn't get my elbows inbetween my knees to go deeper. I'll go with a wider stance next time...

Haven't done zerchers in years, but decided to do some last night. Hit 160kg for a single.

Thurs 15/01/15 - Week 16 - Assistance

Wide grip pull-ups: 35 reps in total

These are done really strict. My pull-up bar is about 6 inch from the wall so my body has to be completely straight when doing them.

Terrible press session yesterday. Technique totally felt off, like there was 5kg extra on the left side of the bar when there wasn't. I'm going to change it up and do 5x5 with ascending weight on each set. There is no need for me to be doing doubles and triples, as I essentially just want to press to keep my shoulders healthy.

Weds 14/01/15 - Week 16 - Session 2

Press: barx8, 40x5, 60x3, 72.5x1, 82.5x1x4

Hello everyone,

So I thought I would start a training log, and hopefully get some input from some more experienced lifters! I'm looking to improve my lifts and continue competing following a ruptured L5/S1 disc at the start of 2013.

Stats:
Age - 26
Height - 6ft
Weight - 105kg

I'm following a bas***dised Texas method program for squat and bench, and currently doing the Magnusson Ortmayer deadlift program. I tend to train 3 sessions a week, but also do some assistance work on other days. I'm competing on the 14/02/15, so I'm currently building up to that.

I use it to bench aswell and its fine. The spotters are the perfect height luckily for me when benching.

I use this: http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf415-squat-and-di...

The spotters are longer than anything else I found. I've had it for about 2 years now and no problems. The rack is solid - I've had over 200kg on it.
