McMuffin_Gains said: It is an odd choice, I wonder what the story is behind it? It's not exactly manly or beastly like say Dragonslayer is lol back when he was a teenager and posting in the teen section on bodybuilding.com there was a popular poster, an australian lifter called firas el-achkar who went by the username babylover. him and george quickly developed a rivalry and george changed his username to babyslayer to show his opposition. I think this is how it went anyway.

thanks to everyone who replied, so do we think i could get away with regular bench press within a few days after? worried about the wrist bending back pulling on the skin and the muscles moving when i grip, guess ill try and leave it as long as possible.

getting my entire forearm done next week, will i have to take time off training? ive read that its fine to 'exercise' if you cover it carefully etc, but i assume those articles are aimed more at cardio. any chance things like deadlifts, rows with straps or benches and presses where im gripping the bar could mess with it?

LaTuta said: Have seen an older video where he lifted reps with 340kg pretty easy.I think he could lift around 380kg+. He lifted 211kg equally to Eddie Hall and we have not seen a video of that.I presume it was pretty easy.So you cant say he is a slouch just because in one day he couldnt live up to what he was saying beforehand. But i dont think brian shaw could beat eddie in deadlift.I think no one can at the moment. I hope he is not pushing it to far.He has to stay healthy. Really hope he has not torn his tricep we have seen the video and it was a stumbling around grinder rep. not sure how that lift compared to a one motion of the same weight + 100kg less on the deadlift even merits a comparison

slimsim said: Sorry, do I think what is nonsense? Me and Milsy used to train in the same gym so I've seen him use the RSR time and time again and still make good gains. If it's producing good gains then why wouldn't someone repeat it? If it ain't broken and all that jazz... i put it right below mate

slimsim said: I've not Phil. I only discovered it due to Milsy repeating it time and time again and getting great results. At age 36 at the time I don't think my body would have dealt with the non-masters program too well. i remember reading something in an old thread about milsy running it back to back. so you think this is nonsense then? It also should not be used as your only squatting program over an extended period of time, it is intended as a means of inserting some variation into your programming and should not be used as a program mainstay.

looking to run one of the various squat routines that you hear about, but im not familiar with the pros and cons of the different ones. my training partner uses 'smolov' with great success but im not sure i could fit it into my training as he says its a 4 day a week plan, and i train strongman on saturdays so i cant use that day and i usually have friday off for obvious reasons.

accessories sunday today was just meant to be some light accessory work, but i felt strong and wanted to lift something heavy so i went for a new bench. came across a new problem however... first time trying a competition grip bench at this new gym and the hooks are too high, i can only unrack the bar with a closer grip. also didnt take my shoes or wrist wraps as i didnt think id need them, ended up benching with my legs just resting. pause bench pretty close grip bar x 25, 60kg x 5, 80kg x 1, 100kg x 1, 120kg x 1, 125kg x 1 ez curl 15kg each side x 8, 20kg each side x 8 dumbbell overhead extension 15kg 3 x 12 dumbbell preacher curl 15kg 3 x 10, 10, 8 side raise going up over the head 2kg x 10, 4kg x 10, 6kg x 10, 8kg x 10 |
