I once did the following complex:

SLDL x 10
Hang Power Clean x 10
Push Press x 10
Front Squat x 10
SLDL x 1

Not sure how major it was but I wasn't on any drugs.

Done some thinking over the last couple of days, I think I've been hammering low reps for a while, and need a little more volume to lay done more of a base so that I can spend the second half of the year making serious gainz!! Short term targets are now:

Squat
6x6 @ 140kg
5x3 @ 165kg

Bench
6x6 @ 100kg
5x3 @ 110kg

Push Press
6x6 @ 100kg
5x3 @ 110kg

Deadlift
6x6 @ 190kg
1x3 @ 220kg

I reckon if I can hit those within the next two months, I'll be in with a solid run at hitting 200/130/250 this year which would make me very happy.

Finished uni forever today. Got a call from work asking me to start a month early, giving me a week holiday between finishing university and starting full time work.

I'm not quite sure what's happening in the gym at the moment. I keep going heavy and failing PB's because I'm too fried, but my mentality in the gym prevents me going light.

I tell myself I need a routine to make progress, but I hate routines. I enjoy going to the gym and just doing whatever I feel like that day, but I guess that's not conducive to progress. I hate leaving something in the gym. I just want to push myself every time I go.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.

These are good power bars, and will last long if you eat it really slowly.

Does this make it "not ok" to think that he is a dick?
He definitely is autistic, but I am also now of the opinion that he is a dick, and I struggle to think otherwise just because he is "different".

Tom, not at all.

I'm simply pointing out that whether he is a dick or not, it is the attention he is after, in any form. He seems to have associated that being personal (which may mean being a dick) brings out a certain reaction in people which he clearly wants (a brief glance at his facebook will show you that).

If people keep giving him attention, IMO he will continue to push the boundary of what he can do to gain that attention. If people completely ignore him, he'll learn that this pattern of behaviour doesn't result in either positive or negative attention, and give it up.

I'm not a medical or psycological professional, but my admittedly limited experience working with people on the autism spectrum showed me that the quickest way to stop a pattern of harmful behaviour is to ignore it.

It's fairly evident that Mr Gregory is different to most of us, and possibly falls somewhere on the autism spectrum.

Giving credence to any of his ideas, is a bad idea IMO, and providing him with attention, either negative or positive can act as reinforcement to him to continue with the behaviour attracting said attention.

Personally I would ignore his videos, facebook posts, and any other interaction, before we find out how far he is willing to go to recieve attention, and something happens which everyone regrets.

Just my opinion.

I've been thinking a bit about my training recently, and I think because I keep telling myself in my head to stick to some form of regimented regime, I always try to make each session "the first one of the new routine", which is leading me to pushing it too hard each session.

I think instead I need to accept that I dislike set routines, and also that I'll be in the gym as often as I possibly can, and adapt my lifting to that, really by doing whatever lifts I feel like on a given day, and keeping things snappy.

I think my personal favourite rep ranges are below 3 reps on pulls and squats, and up to 5 reps on pushing movements. I'll try to stick roughly to those guidelines I guess.

I really need to clean my diet up as well.

I'm also putting on some chub. Sitting around all day eating and revising means I'm a chubby 92kg now. This needs to change.
