The thing is though, as I bench twice per week (heavy and speed), I thought it might suit best to do heavy push presses on heavy bench day and front and side raises etc on my d/e bench day ? Just trying not to do too much, but at the same time trying to 'tick all the boxes' so to speak... Happy

i wouldnt be benchin twice a week mate and i think it would be difficult to make good gains goin with heavy bench and pushpresses same day,ive messed areound with various routines over the years and find unless i keep shoulders a few days away from benching,my front delts will reduce my benchpress a lot

Wes said:I was told by someone a while ago (can't remember who) that doing heavy shoulder work actually hindered his progress on the Bench.

Can anyone relate to this ? The reason I ask, is that due to the fact that my Bench is s**t, I'm doing all I can to try and rectify it. I've dropped a lot of heavy shoulder stuff until recently, the thing is I enjoy doing it...

I realise a lot of it is down to the individual, but I was just wondering if it is a common issue.

Thanks !

yeah i used to have a problem with this mate but found if i spaced shoulders a few days away from chest they dont seem to cause each other problems?

I understand youre trying to make money for a good cause and all but maybe you should think of some ways of getting money out of the spectators and sponsors rather than just tapping up the competitors? after all they are the guys putting the show on for you!

agree with that mate
