High incline press

100 x 2, 2, 2, 2, 5.

Strict press

60 x 5, 5, 5,
80 x 5, 5, 5, 5, 5.

80 x 3, 3, 3
100 x 1, 1, 1.

Btn strict press

Not a great session tonight. I was training alongside removing the back seat from the wifes car, which turned into a right t**t of a job when one of the nuts rounded off. So breaks between sets got a bit extensive.

Deadlifts bright and early tomorrow ahead of my weekend trip to N.I.

Squats

100 x 3, 3,
140 x 3,
160 x 8, 8,
180 x 8.

Single leg calf raises, 3 x 12.

Barbell rows

100 x 5,
140 x 5,
160 x 5, 5.

Neutral grip chins, 2 x 5.

Barbell shrugs

160 x 10, 10, 10.

Wide grip chins, 2 x 3.

1" deficit deadlifts

200 x 3 emom x 10.

Very happy with todays session. Nothing spectacular, but everything moving the right way, and chins were crazy easy.
Also managed a few closes on my COC 2.5 during the day at work, so grip is as good as its ever been.

Oh boom! I wondered who would be the first to say that.

Front squats

100 x 2, 2,
140 x 10, 10, 10.

1 clean strict log

85 x 2, 2,
105 x 1 emom x 4,
105 x 1, 3, 3, 3.

Triceps extensions

14 x 10, 10, 10.

Wanted a few more reps on the 105 log, but energy just wasnt there after front squats.

Training is training.

Following on from this, and because i dont want to create a separate thread, Radz has just uploaded a video with one of the easiest 205 logs you will ever see. Clean is a bit slow, but the press is ridonculous.

Look at Ed on viking press in WSM.
Didn't gas cos it was like 50%

Viking press is a fairly easy lift. Squats are much closer to deadlift, and Ed was definitely gassing on those!

Trap bar is probably easier to learn, but the reality is plenty of young kids get in to oly lifting, and thats far more technical than a deadlift.

So long as you monitor her technique and dont let her try max lifts then i think it would be fine.

Big jump on that axle, bit of a silly mistake. Looks like strength was on point though bud.

Cheers man for information ... can get access to plenty of carpet as I knows a fitter. What thickness ply would you guys aim for

I used 2 12mm thick sheets, and then some similar thickness mdf sided by stable matting to make the top surface.

Yoke, D and T @15m

160 x 30m,
240 x 30m,
380 x 30m,
320 x 30m,
400 x 30m - PB.

Shield carry

140 x 60m,
160 x 60m - PB.

Farmers

80 x 30m,
120 x 30m.

Stones over 56" yoke

Up to 155 x 2 - PB.

Cracking session today.
Yoke felt a bit slow, but very solid, and no drops.
Adjusted grip on shield and it became a piece of cake, just had to stop at 60m because i was starting to run out of oxygens.
Stone was right on the limit, the lifting itself was easy, but im just too short to get much clearance over a 56" bar.

13/1 - PM

Deadlifts

252 x 3, 3, 3,
252 x 1 emom x 11.

Single leg calf raises, 14 x 10, 10, 10.

Sldl

70 x 8, 8,
90 x 6, 6.

Doh axle holds

105 x 10s,
115 x 10s, 10s.

Not a good session. Wanted to get up to 25 reps on the deadlift, but legs just werent firing. Not sure if thats down to power cleans this morning, or the massage i had afterwards. 20 was the limit without starting to hitch the s**t out of them.

Nice lazy werkend on the cards, taking the wife out to dinner tomorrow and events on sunday, other than that i barely plan to leave my couch.

13/1 - AM

1 clean + strict press

60 x 5, 5,
70 x 2 emom x 25,
75 x 2 emom x 15,
80 x 2 emom x 9,
80 x 5 - FTOH.

Not nearly as hard as i expected, should have went heavier, or cleaned every rep.
