» Phil's lifting (PL/OL and anything else that comes to mind!) (Go to post)21-10-2009 @ 21:09
Hi Phil Ive been having a blast through every one journals and your was on my hit list! nice squatting mate 190 x 5 is awesome Happy

If I could say one thing though if your shoulders are hurting f**k them wide grip bench thingys off. you bench closer for comp and theyll do more harm than good. I can understand your reasoning behind them because they hit you different, but it sports specific. you dnt do extra wide squats after normal ones, benchski should be no different Happy

Keep up the good lifts and ill poke my nose in every now and again

Martin1956 said:Yes, coming along nicely Bryn, but early days. We could have a networking effect and get lots involved, or guys could fall by the wayside after the initial excitement of the honeymoon period is replaced by months of graft for little gain. Time will tell.

i sincerly hope its not the latter. Them seem like a good bunch of lads. I could do with getting some of the lads in my gym into powerlifting, they do the lifts. The problem is if you dont get them the forms/relavent address/ ferry them around they wont bother! Feels like your pushing a rock up a hill sometimes

I agree with other post in the past I used to train solo and I really dont think I could go back to that. on the other hand my 2 training partners are the lazyiest mofos on this planet so I have to motivate 3 people. kickin there ass's gets me going tho
