Bloody hell. On another note, I imagine he must be sponsored by Adidas and is wearing the power perfects as part of a sponsorship deal?

25.2.14 Weight 14 Stone 11 1/2 lb/94.3kg Squat 20kg 2x5 60kg x5 100kg x3 140kg 2x2 180kg x1 145kg 5x2 Back pain easing off. Looks to be more of a piriformis/glute issue now. Stretching helps but it starts to tighten up again. Bench Press 20kg 2x5 40kg x5 60kg x3 80kg 2x2 105kg x1 85kg 5x3 First warmup set of 80kg I did without wrist wraps - had a wobble at the very bottom of the decent on rep 1 and briefly dropped the bar on myself. Good job I'd got a decent bellyful of air! Chest Supported Row +20kg x8 +25kg 3x8 Superset with Pull Ups Pull Ups Bodyweight x 4,3,2,2 Superset with Chest Sup Rows Barbell Curl 20kg x8 20kg (fat bar) 2x10 Nicked Kits bar for the first set, behaved myself and got the fat bar afterwards. C2 Rower 8 x 20/10 second rounds for 4 mins total aka one round of Tabata. Will start to do more rounds when a.) healthy and b.) not abysmally s**t at rowing.

Joe_MF said:thank you for the suggestions, I would love to go on a walk in the countryside, or if my knees could take it pick up a martial art. Swimming is also a nice idea! Its interesting to see what other people do - definitely need to do something Best thing about BJJ is the amount of time you spend off your feet. Worst thing is the effect of armbars and the like on pressing.

Best conditioned and least of a fat f**k I've been in recent years in when I was doing BJJ. Find an activity/sport and do that once a week, if it's something enjoyable and interesting you'll stick with it. And then there's the bonus of developing a skill if you pick something like a martial art, or swimming or climbing or something.

Post Edited: 23.02.2014 @ 20:05 PM by n3ver3nder 23.2.14West Riding Session. Hurt my back on Thurs, and probably shouldn't have squatted on Friday. Taking a week off squatting and deadlifting properly, just did some light front squatting today. weight 14 stone 11 1/2 lb/94.3kg Front Squat 20kg 5x10 20kg plus chains 2x10 Bench Press 20kg x5 60kg x3 85kg 5x5 100kg (with Titan Ram) x3 Dumbbell Bench Press 14kg x12 20kg 2x12 Dumbbell Bench Supported Row 20kg (fat grips) x8 34kg x8 This hurt my back. Chest Supported T Bar Row +15kg x10 +20kg 2x10 Axle Row 32kg x10 52kg 2x10 Also painful. Back Extension 5x10 Pull Ups f**kloads of singles and doubles, didn't bother to count.

I didn't realise how heavy your single was, you pulled it with such ease. Then again I was f**king around a fair bit, attention wasn't great by this point!

It's pretty good for spinal decompression and restoring end range overhead mobility in the shoulders too. I like implementing work that meets addresses multiple criteria, in this case grip work and mobility work.

Post Edited: 21.02.2014 @ 20:01 PM by n3ver3nder 21.02.14Weight 14 Stone 9 3/4 lb/93.5kg Overhead Squat 20kg 3x5 35kg x5 These were horrible today. Think it was because of the fatigued back from yesterday. Squat 35kg x5 60kg x5 100kg x5 140kg x3 182.5kg x3 145kg 4x3 6 inch(ish) Squat Lockouts 145kg x3 180kg x3 200kg x3 220kg x3 240kg x3 250kg x3 Bench Press 20kg 2x5 40kg x5 60kg x3 80kg x2 92.5kg x3 75kg 5x3 Bench all went swimmingly. Liking that I'm able to maintain not having to use my wrist wraps for 80kg and below now, as surely overuse will impact wrist strength. Pull up Body weight x4, 2x3 Torn callus and sore traps not helped with this today. Lat pulldown, palms facing 40kg x8 60kg x8 Cable Row 20kg x8 40kg 3x8 Barbell Curl 15kg x10 20kg (thick bar) 3x10 Machine Calf Raise 30kg x10 60kg x8 100kg x8 200kg x5 290kg x2 Just f**king about now One Handed Snatch 10kg x3

IrishMarc said: You need a swole daddy. This idea probably has merit if we take into account the following; Assumption #1: Tom must have juicy glutes from all the squatting and pulling. Assumption #2: There must be somebody willing to pay to touch them.

20.02.14 Weight 14 stone 10 3/4 lb/93.9kg Edging down slowly, a good s**t away from making weight now. Not feeling any weaker - all good so far. Overhead Press 20kg 2x5 30kg x5 40kg x3 50kg x2 62.5kg 3x3 No shoulder pain, left bicep/elbow complaining a little bit but nothing major. Dumbbell Incline Bench Press 12kg x10 17kg x10 24kg 4x10, 1x9 Missed the last rep but I probably should have rested a bit longer before my last set. Deadlift 60kg x5 100kg x5 140kg x3 162kg 4x4 185kg x2 207.5kg x2 Double PB 162kg x8 Second rep felt like it took about an hour to lock out at 207.5kg. Bar speed up to mid thigh good though, happy enough with that. RIPPED THE SAME f**kING CALLUS AGAIN though, on the last set. Not enough time or inclination to do any ab work today. |
