Then did some chest flies (If I arch and get a good brace then these are absolutely pain free) and some one arm iso pulldown thingies.

JackRevans said:im sorry to hear about that wiegie. I did some yoga this morning. I also decided to test a new sainsburys that has opened near my place of residence. It wasn't that great but I did get some tabasco sauce. My mouth is still on fire after generously applying the sauce to my George foreman grilled chicken. I tried mixing it with peri sauce too, which also contributed to the mouth fire. I await possible ring of fire tomorrow.

Oh yeah, someone recommended doing single leg stuff for the SI joint.

Sainsburys sell a Sriracha sauce brand cringingly called BangThai. It's quite nice.

Single leg stuff like hip aeroplanes and split squats are meant to be good, as well as stability exercises like bird dogs and dead bugs.

WNOL w/c 4.5.15

Squat: 2.42
Bench: 3.11
Deadlift: 0.96

Benching fully raw now so WNOL should be around 3 most weeks I think.

08.05.15

Weight
97.1kg
Not bad considering kebab bloat.

Squat, Power
20kg x10
60kg 2x5
100kg 2x3
140kg x2
180kg x2
200kg x1
210kg x3, x1F rep 2
200kg x3
180kg x3
140kg x3

INOL:0.9

s**tf**kc**tt**tpisslips. This was meant to be 210kg 3x3 today, the first set moved slower than I wanted to and on the second rep of the second set I tried a faster descent to catch more stretch reflex and just bottomed out, lost all tightness and positioning. Bailed out from under the bar, though not particularly quickly and the bar more rolled down my back than fell the 2 inches to the pins. Doesn't seem to be any lasting damage though.

Leg press
+40kg x25
+80kg 3x20

Close stance partials, focusing on VMO.

Bench, Strength
20kg x10
40kg x8
60kg 2x5
80kg 2x3
100kg 3x5

INOL: 0.9

Unfamiliar spotters, happy with this though, felt quite easy. Purchased some none slip shelf liner to put on the bench to make it grippy like comp bench and managed to maintain tightness for the whole set.

Then did YTW's and occluded concentration curls.

7.5.15

Weight
97.5kg

Ate late last night, weighed in early this morning. Not overly concerned with the extra bulk.

Squat, Hypertrophy
20kg x10
60kg 2x5
80kg x5
100kg 3x10

INOL: 0.5

Felt absolutely s**t before training, very tired and a bit nauseous. Light on squat today because I plan on going heavy tomorrow.

OHP
20kg x10
30kg x8
40kg x5
50kg x5
60kg x3
70kg x3 PB
80kg 2x1 PB!
60kg x9 PB!!!!

Hit 80kg once with a shaky lockout, tried again after a huff on the Nose Tork and locked it out for a solid 3 seconds. Planned to rep out on 60kg and expected maybe 6 but it kept going up! Felt very solid and held my brace really well. So happy with this considering how I felt walking in to the gym today. Pain free for most reps which bodes well for the shoulder.

Then did some paused low cable rows and face pulls.

6.5.15

Weight
96.6kg

Deadlift
60kg 2x5
100kg 2x3
140kg x2
160kg x2
180kg 8x3

INOL:0.96

Bench, Power
20kg x10
40kg x8
60kg x5
80kg x3
100kg x1
110kg x1F2
105kg x3
110kg x2F3, 2x2

With my first set of 110kg I wasn't tight enough, when I tried again John told me to go for a 3rd rep based off the bar speed but I touched too low and lost my groove. Next 2 sets were nice and snappy. Really need to work on my consistency with bench!

There's a third there on a better day, was feeling too much form breakdown today, too 'backy'.

Then kettlebell swings, iso one arm pulldowns and a while messing around throwing kicks on the heavy bag.

Rick said:Well, I got my refereeing certificate and tie through from GBPF. It also included a note telling me the status is probationary and I have to referee at a national contest in the next twelve months to keep it. Not sure I can see that happening, and I'm profoundly irritated not to have been told about it up front.

There's some hoo-hah about this on the GBPF Facebook page at the mo. It's been pointed out that officiate doesn't necessarily mean reffing - any other duties like being on table, mc'ing etc counts too.

This is why, even though YNE subsidises ref course and I'd find it interesting to do, I don't want to do it.

Can you summarise that in a manner similar to which you'd use when speaking to a functional but slightly slow child?
