Muscle Snatch up to 65kg (5kg PB), tried 70 twice, didn't make it.
Clean and Jerk up to 2 @ 105kg (15kg PB double)
Clean Pulls with 2 sec pause below knee 5x3 @ 115kg
Snatch Pulls with 2 sec pause below AND above knee 5x3 @ 90kg
Also did a 5 sec hold below the knee after each set of pulls.
Abs and broing out.

What do you mean when you say 'allowed'? From what I gathered the national team coaches never wanted him to take time off and he had to fight for it.

What I find really interesting is that he doesn't even need to squat to maxes. He only needs to squat 'enough', which for him apparently is 280 front or back.

It seems really weird for people to try and adopt training systems like his, mainly because he probably has put in a lot closer to 10,000 hours than any amateur ever will.

Seems to work for him, he's undefeated as far as we know. Apart from that his training apparently peaks at Snatching and Jerking every day, as well as squatting 2x a day, so I guess a little time off helps him recovery physically, mentally, and his longevity.

From what Ilya said he has taken off since London and will only start training for the 2014 Worlds in the new year. He does this a lot. He took a whole year or more off after Beijing as well.

Would be fun to see Klokov do Crossfit, but since he apparently plans to compete in Rio...who knows.

21-12-13 RSR Week 5 Day 3

Clean and Jerk up to 2x1 @ 110kg
For jokes. Better than I thought it would be. Cleans were meh, jerks were better. Not bad for 79kg and very little proper weightlifting in the past few months.

Squat up to 6x2 @ 120kg

Snatch Pulls 5x3 @ 80kg
Just making sure I go straight up and smooth.

Curls 3x10 @ 20kg

Abs

I'm gonna get it, don't worry. I'm just really chill before the sessions and the heavy sets. Don't think about it, and it works.

The whole thing has been really good. 6 sets was just too much to psych yourself up each time so staying calm is the only option.

Thanks! I feel like muscle snatches just help me to keep pulling and develop some strength in the upper back and shoulders.

OHP up to 5 @ 50, 55, 60, 62.5, 50
Pretty sure this is a PB

Dips 3x6 @ 20kg

Face pulls 3x12 @ 45kg

Abs and stuff
