I assume Krzysztof Radzikowski was 2nd place - what was his lift?

Did you read that somewhere?

Perhaps it just wasn't his day, or maybe he's been focusing much of his efforts on overhead training. He does seem even stronger this year overhead.

Did z attempt 445kg?

Hard to believe he could only pull 420. Last year at Europes he made 433 look so easy.

Terry says it was probably the best Z ever performed!

Yeah, some of the clips on youtube are amazing. The 221kg log press looked pretty easy for him. The keg toss time was amazing. He was even fast in the frame carry and yoke, and you wouldn't have expected that given that he was probably 15-20lbs heavier than normal.

Hard to deny that when it comes to static strength no one up to this point has been able to match Big Z. Some guys come close in different areas (i.e. Shaw and Terry on deadlift, Jenkins on shoulder press), but over all events Z has them covered. His grip seems like it isn't what it used to be, and he's not as quick on his feet as some of the others.

Does anyone know if Z is still weighing in over 180kg/400lbs? He did for the Europes and seemed to have even more power than usual.

Pretty sure it starts tomorrow mate. Still Thursday night here.

That explains it. Allthingsgym shows the final on Thursday and Friday, but now that I look at it again they have the dates screwed up.

Cheers!

Hopefully we'll hear an update soon. Day 1 final events are over by now in China.

I would love to see Terry win it finally. It'll be a tough competition for sure with both Z and Shaw in top form.
